  1. The missus knows exactly what gets spent on the Z, well apart from things that I buy her as presents - she isnt allowed to know how much her presents cost. So far she has received gifts such as Z badges, cargo nets - but shes that special shes now getting a bodykit, and an exhaust - the lucky, lucky lady.
  2. Here is a PDF file with a sheet of spotted cards if people wish to print their own...
  3. Yes - that area is in need of a revamp too - as we have flyers & spotted cards for free use in various formats.
  4. Its something we have been trying to organise for this site too - unfortunately we havent sorted it out yet, but its certainly something we would like to be able to offer. If anyone thinks they could lend a hand in this area, feel free to shout up. We did have some prototypes created for us and handed out at the previous JAE, I think they went down pretty well, and it would be nice to offer a variety of items for those that wanted them.
  5. They are useful for increasing visits. Alongside flyers, spotted cards and attendance at the shows they form an integral part of how we get our name known.
  6. In simple terms they are just automated programs that run on google servers, they find a website, then follow the links on it, recording basic data from the page and adding it to the database as they go. You can put various bits of code in a web page to direct these "spiders" to follow various links around the site and only stay within this domain etc etc... Depending on what words etc are used, and how they are placed within a site and how often people follow the link on a search engine, determines where you will appear in the list of results on a search engine.
  7. Ive got a DVD rental thing going with Tesco - so Ill get it through that if its on their list.
  8. Because we get absolutley no value for money what so ever for our tax pennies. I know for a FACT, that certain departments within the Government have made payment on CREDIT notes! I know because Ive sent them! Its a refund from a supplier as they had overbilled, and the people at the other end simply saw the figure and wrote a cheque. If that is how much attention is paid to credit notes, I can just imagine the scrutiny they subject a roadworks invoice to. Ive been in florida and seen them start the resurfacing of a section of the 192 highway at about 8pm at night, and the next morning (10am) when travelling to Disney, they had resurfaced about 5 miles of the thing, and all that remained was a few guys planting shrubs in the central reservation. Our workforce wouldnt have got past the first round of coffee and staring at a pair of Bristols in the Daily Star, but they would have already invoiced the Taxpayer for about twice as much no doubt.
  9. Not that the Government are hell bent on this as the ONLY solution, without wanting to enter into any debate (as the PM would have us beleive), but they have felt the need to create an entire page on the No10 site more or less defending the whole plan: http://www.number10.gov.uk/output/Page10961.asp PS: Tony Blairs response can be viewed on the skynews page here: http://news.sky.com/skynews/article/0,, ... 84,00.html
  10. Reading between the lines it very much smacks of:
  11. I actually only watched this for the first time last night - two episodes back to back, its quite good. I think Ill see if there are DVDs out I can rent to watch it from the start.
  12. One of the reasons cited for this is the benefit to business. Eh? Am I missing something? How on earth does taxing a UK haulage firm into oblivion, whilst allowing European truckers to tear up and down the land unchecked help British business? Probably a bit more to it than that, but Im fairly certain this is not going to have the desired effect on many businesses and environmental causes.
  13. The European Drift Championship and Time Attack dates can be viewed and discussed here: http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=74477
  14. Yes - Very true - Perhaps a link to something more positive is in order.
  15. Hadn't seen this post before - Ive just filled it in. Im not too bothered about F1, I went once as part of a paid for jolly from one of the suppliers at my previous place. After about 20 laps I hadnt got a clue who was in what place, if it werent for the big screens it would have just been a lot of noisy cars going round.
  16. Yes we do. We let the spiders have free roam, and encourage them to follow all links. Its worked too, our ranking on various search engines has significantly improved.
  17. Yes there are quite a few spiders, but there are also a few guests too. They will join up soon enough Im sure.
  18. Cheers Tim. Im looking forward to sampling a variety of European cuisine on the Europe trip later in the year. Other than that I have to say, my favourite is Chinese, but mainly just all the starter bits like prawn toast/spring rolls etc... Then Curry, - but mild, not hot. Then Pizza - stuffed crust with plenty of meat and cheese.
  19. You dont get my size being fussy. Owt will do. Today - Pancakes!
  20. I used it today to chat about the european trip. Its not used that often, as people will probably use MSN messenger etc, but its there as an option if people dont have access to such software at their location.
  21. Also just booked the speedferry. Outbound> 8.6.2007 10:40 Dover / Boulogne Return> 23.6.2007 09:50 Boulogne / Dover Looking forward to this!
  22. If I was looking for one to modify (and not have any warranty issues hanging over my head) then I would certainly look at a basic model - Quality interior retrims with leather/suede can be had for £500 upward, and you wouldnt be forking out for Rays or other wheels that were going to get replaced either. If its a car that someone is going to modify, and the standard features are not really that important, then it seems decent enough - as others say, the differing shades look a bit iffy, but its probably a fault of the camera angles thats doing it (like the famous fuel filler cap colour issue on photos).
  23. sorry - edited my post on the last page to add: Here is another good one: gives a score if you click "view sample report": http://www.iqtest.com/prep.html
