I would like CHR1S in a perfect world, but last time it was sold at auction it went for over £125,000. So I think it may be just a little way out of my budget.

If my experience of Derbyshire police is anything to go by, you are living on borrowed time with that one. Ive been done for both my plates, the one on the Golf and the one on the Z. Ive since changed them both to make them look a lot more legal, in fact I think the golf is now 100% legal. I just got fed up of the £30 fines after the second one. It did make me chortle a little as Ive seen a coppers land rover (personal car) with a 5 clearly clipped to look like an S. And Ive seen others with sticky tape and bolts used to make words. L19NNC was made to read LIANNE from a distance of about 3 feet. All with the use of black insulating tape! I firmly beleive its becoming more common for the police to pull people for offences that they know carry a fixed penalty/fine. If there isnt any money in it, they arent bothered imho.

Unless its the camera, its had a front wing at least. With the standard bonnet and a standard Nismo spoiler I reckon it would look much better - each to their own though. -

I hear they have a decent compere in the show n' shine arena passing "comment" on some of the cars that are put forward. Was a great event last year - apart fron the hurricane, and lightning Which when holding 6 ft carbon tent rods (loosely resembling lightning conductors), was not too pleasant. Hundreds of cars, and plenty of shopping opportunity too. -

May be able to make it, but already booked for a couple of days/nights out on the 26th and 27th, so may be "unwell" for driving on the 28th. -
Nope - it was the processors trying to handle the email security. Apparently the email software was generating a 1024 bit key for every item, which gave the processors "something to think about" - effectivley denying access to the SQL process. The team will be discussing this and making an announcement about a long term solution in due course. Apologies (again) guys.

Doesnt their house insurance cover damage to other peoples property or person? They (insurers) will probably claim an Act of God defence though, but if it could be proven that the roof was in a poor state of repair you may have a case. But its by no means cut and dry. Sorry to hear the news.

Thanks - user and topic deleted.

I cant stand the interior of the new Civic. Yes its very space age, but I think the novelty of its Starship Enterprise dashboard will wear off pretty quickly. I couldnt get on with the handbrake whn I took one out for a drive, Its as though they havent bothered moving it over when they switched the steering wheel over - its right up against the drivers seat. Anyhoo - Nice to see you back Nick, Im sure we all wished that the Z's performance was on a par with the evos'. They certainly are quick. Not to sure on the angular looks myself, or the stereotypical image that comes with evos/scoobys, but I can imagine they certainly are fun.

No problem at all - you are very welcome. What do you mean "become" a respected member, all members already are. Even if we do fall out with some every now and then

Hi Stuey. I think your first point is referring to quoting. The quote button should be somwhere up here ^ For example if I wanted to highlight a post you had made and reply to it, I would click the quote button next to your post. Try it with this one... See the "quote" button above my post - this one: If you click that it will take you to a reply box (just the same as if you had clicked "post reply) but it will already have my post within

I have to admit there were jokes about David Blunket that I heard around the time of his departure that made me laugh. Had I been blind I may have been rather offended by them, but I wasnt. I laughed at them - does that make me a bad person? People make jokes about fat people, and yes sometimes I do find them offensive, but I can see how others would find them funny. Just not me. It all comes back to what I said previously I think, and thats that there will always be a victim/target of comedy be it a person, a relegious beleif, a specific culture or whatever else. Anyone think this topic needs splitting off - comedy/where are the lines, and this one for Kevs banning?
-
I knew I should have picked a better disguise than a purple dress and blue jacket. In comedy there is almost always a loser, a target that people laugh at, from the days of slapstick where we laughed at the person who got it in the face with a custard pie, and now the person whos beleifs are ridiculed or who's physical appearence is poked fun at. Tom and Jerry, Roadrunner, Itchy & Scratcty, pinky & the brain, bugs bunny & elmer fudd. There is always a loser, one that we laugh at. People can poke fun at me for being overweight, but I could equally have a pop at sarnie, offering him a stepladder so he can wax his 350's roof for example. I suppose half the game is knowing in advance how your comments will be received. It cant be easy going out on stage cracking a joke and wondering if people are going to find it funny or offensive....

Being "bigger boned" I can relate to the fact that yes, I pretty much chose to be this way. Yes there are a minority for whom its not a choice, but a medical condition. Had someone asked me four years ago if I wanted to be as big as I am, I would have said no thanks and told them where to get off. Had that same person asked me every now and then if I fancied a night out on the beer, a Burger King for lunch once in a while and Pizza on a Friday night as its a great way to start the weekend, and its easier than actually cooking, then Id have said yes. Which is pretty much what I said to myself subconciously, and hey presto, 4 years later and Im about 4 stone heavier. Ooops. When did that happen? I just seemed to wake up one morning and found I was fat. On the plus side though I have joined weight watchers, and lost half a stone so far. So Im now choosing to do something about it. Plus Im thinking of the power to weight ratio of the car. Whats the point in saving a few KG here and there if the driver is carrying 30KG of unnecessary weight into the car!

if we got trigger happy with the delete button then you would hear the cries of "censorship!" a mile away. Although it is looking like the only option left, as after numerous hints and discussions about dragging topics into pages of banter and jibing, it still continues. The plan was that hopefully people would take the hint and maybe stop it of their own accord.

Liam, there was quite a bit to wade through. I did notice you had posted the pics up yes, didnt know you had helped the chap out via pm though so he could do it himself, thanks for that.

Removed my own post as its just going to kick off another argument. People can make their own minds up about a site censoring links to other sites containing onfo about their car.
