Colin Thanks for offer of Ebisu Black paint but I managed to get a tin some time back. As you say, what a cop out over your touch up paint. Are you supposed to have a frontal respray every time you get a stone chip? What a joke. Ian

Nothing changes does it! I had similar problems getting Ebisu Black touch up paint for my 350Z Roadster back in January 2007. Got nowhere with Nissan UK. Wrote to AutoExpress saying what a ridiculous situation. They featured me and my car in an article about non availability of Nissan touch up paint. Still had to source mine from USA though. Obviously touch up paint problem has not been solved here in UK.

No filler, just very skilful manipulation with a long rod down the inside of the door. Having just posted about Dentec, I find I shall have to go to Dentec again to sort out a small dent on my wife's Beetle Cabriolet. Driver's door again.

Visited Dave at Dentec to have a parking dent on the crease on driver's door fixed. Fantastic job. Great guy. Very highly recommended. Ian

Now the snow has gone and no more salt on roads,I have been out in my new roadster with the hood down. Having got back home I noticed on the fairing which snaps over the hood to hide it when open ,that there is a hole about 2"x1" between the two fairings behind the hoops. I thought I had lost some plug but my dealer tells me this is normal. Question-is this normal? Is there supposed to be a plug there? What is the purpose of the hole? Ian

Just had my Ebisu black roadster delivered. Very pleased! Anyone know what the is colour of the the 2 horizontal bars on the grille. They look like gumetal. Has anyone got a MY06 Gun Metal to tell me whether it is a match? Or if not Gun Metal does anyone know the paint code?

Have got nowhere with Nissan GB customer services. They" no longer supply" this paint even though it is a 2006 colour. My supplying dealer of the new Z roadster I will be picking up in the next couple of days could not believe it. However news for all fellow Ebisu Black Z owners. I have just received a stick of G41 Ebisu Black from USA. Only $9.99 plus postage. Found on good old Ebay. Apparently Nissan USA can't supply the paint either! Ebay item no. is ; 270016565948 Ian

I always get some touch up paint when I get a new car. I like to be prepared for stone chips. Have often wondered why car manufacturers don't put a touch up pen in the glove box with all new cars ,but they want your money for every little item ,so they don't do it as it would cost them. I shall get some made up from the paint code. Roll on the New Year.

Unbelievable!!!!! My Ebisu Black roadster is arriving any day now for delivery Jan 1 2007. Had no joy from 2 dealers about getting a stick of touch up paint. THEY had no luck with Nissan GB. Ring Customer Services this morning at Nissan GB and after a long wait I am told that Ebisu Black touch up paint is no longer available!!!!!!! I mentioned quite forcefully that Ebisu Black is a NEW 2006 colour but I was told I would have to get it outside of Nissan. What a farce! Not a very good introduction to 350Z ownership. From other posts on this excellent site, I am not the only one in this predicament. I know I can get it from USA as Magnetic Black, but why should I have to pay customs and carriage costs from there? Surely no other car company treats their customers like this? A letter to the motoring press methinks. Ian

Never have bought and NEVER would buy a BMW. Styling is better than saloon but that does not take much. It just looks DULL. I thought coupes were supposed to look exciting? Only 8 weeks until Z arrives.

I think the bonnet looks awful. I just hope my Z roadster due in December does not have it. I am a bit worried now! Presumably it is due to this pedestrian legislation. The new TT bonnet looks too bulbous for the same reason. Why can't pedestrians wear rubber suits so that they bounce off our lower profile bonnets?!
