I feel your pain! I spent 5hrs on Sunday washing her and now with the few drizzles of rain it's now covered in the sand  hopefully with a quick wash it should just come off as she's been waxed :)

Call me crazy (or just wrong in this case ) but can you not spray a load of QD over it and use a mf cloth (decent one) to get rid of the dusting ? (as you have lubricant on the paint so it shouldn't scratch)

nope it's large grains and it's dried on needs a proper hosing/foaming/two bucket but it's very sunny and blowing a gale so no go today or possibly the rest of the week if you believe the forcast

Ahhh ok.

For me up here in London I just have a dusting over the car which then had some rain splashes on it.

When it's like this I'm glad my neighbour (back in Surrey) donated a gazebo for me to work on the car

My house is a few miles from a Quarry, ...car regularly gets covered in sandy/dusty rain. :scare:

Weekly washing keeps on top of it but still it's gutting when it does happen.

2 rather large disused clay quarries close to me both within a quarter of a mile. They've both been worked out in the last couple of years and currently resemble The Mojave Desert. So when we get a dry spell like this not only the cars but anything you put outside gets covered in fine dust if the wind is from the south or south east.

And...........where, did the sun go. :(

Maybe not the best for washing and waxing the car, but still cheery and warmer.

Cloudy and cold here today. :cold:

We've got builders in at work extending the car park so mine keeps getting covered in brick dust and sand. No matter how far away I park it still gets coated in crap!
