Awesome day today at Shelsley, what a fantastic event. There can't be many other motorsport events where spectators are allowed to wander freely round the paddock looking at all sorts of race, road and specialist cars (and there really was a large variety). I've got a wedge of photos, but I'll save those for another thread, save cluttering Andy's thread.

But here are some of the man in question. Well done Andy :thumbs:

Had a wonderful day a shelsey Walsh today and all I can say is wow!!

First off Andy did a fantastic time in his class and even in comparison to the NA bike engined single seater cars!!! Andy was sure footed and very clean and I can see him going even faster with more aggression and an LSD to complement an awesome zed. The sound was lovely and everyone were I was seating commented about the car and I was so proud.

AJ you are a hero in my book any day!!

It's a shame I couldn't find the rest of you guys but looking at your pics you were way down the course. I sat in the podium perched at the top were you could see the cars coming up the hill and through the esseses before disappearing to the finish straight.

The FI single seaters where just plane and simply mental and some of these guys can effing drive!!!!! There was a black car that did a 26xxsec run and was the leading time by the time I left and seeing this guy carve through the climb at full chat was just perfection and awe.

If you have not been to a climb event before please do, it's just a different type of fun and skill.

A big thank you to all of you for coming along today and I'm so glad the weather held long enough for me to have one good aggressive run!

Thanks for all the kind comments as this discipline is a lot harder than it looks as there is very little time to think and as you can see a very narrow window for error!

Nice Vid Ian!

Just uploading the in car one to give you a view of the complete run.

Sorry about my animation at the end but as you can imagine there is a lot of nerves, aggression, fear, relief all rolled into one when you cross he Finnish line.

Hope I can post it a bit later.

Chris and Kim (Kyser,Radical)and I will be at Castle Coombe this coming Monday for an afternoon trackday.

Should be interesting and hopefully the weather will be kind to the roofless one! Lol.

I have read that a large part of the track has been re surfaced so maybe it's not quite so bumpy at high speed.

Recon some high speed video footage could be in order!

Camera is already charged - if it rains I'll just drive underneath you :p

Fingers crossed for a dry day though so I can get the slicks on and chase down that supercharged monster of yours
