The plan is to put a really good wheel selection on the website over Xmas. The following brands: Japan Racing XXR Rota Varrstoen Vordoven Cosmis SSR Gramlights Forgestar Vossen I'm interested in how customers like to view the information when looking at wheels, do you like to see a single price on a wheel, price for a set of four etc. I guess i'm looking for buyers input as wheel websites can often be daunting and confusing so I want to make sure we get it right. Grundy Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 One thing to remember - whats the most common question on this forum.....'Will these fit....' so maybe some way to counter that problem - I.e. If you could get examples of each wheel on a Zed with specs - i.e. 20mm Spacer, x*Camber, Rolled Arches. You could have a Rota GTR for instance listed more than 20 times with all the colour/sizes/offsets. So five different wheels could be a 100 items. Say for arguments sake I don't like the Rota GTR, I don't want to scroll past 100 items to get to something else, or have the GTR every other item. I personally wouldnt go overboard with telling people what will and what wont fit their cars, its not that difficult to find out online before they come to you. The Rarerims virtual bay is a nice idea though, would mean people will visit the site more often than just when they are actually looking to buy something. I also dont think there are enough examples of wheels on cars on trade sites, for instance a pic of an Advan RG is nice: but a pic of a 350Z with nicely fitted RG's actually on it ............. Those suggesting Chris goes to the time and bother to find out what will or won't fit every type of car in the world need a reality check. Tarmac Sportz is not a 350Z website, it/he sells to many more marques. As others have mentioned, Driftworks website is great but I'm sure it wasn't cheap but a cheaper/easier alternative is to list each rim style with the lowest price, say for 15x6, then have a PDF in the linked page with prices and size/colour options that the potential buyer can contact you if they wish to purchase. However, the prices will have to be better than Driftworks, because if they aren't, 99% of people will just use the DW site as it's quicker. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted October 23, 2014 Author Share Posted October 23, 2014 Kyle and Docwra - totally agree To be honest I had planned on doing different wheels, Rota are great wheels and easy to work with and fantastic but competition is just too fierce so we are looking to concentrate on more specialist marks like the Forgestar/Cosmis/Vordoven/Vossen type of wheel.
