The brakes look awesome, a lot bigger than the Brembos :)

I wanted Stoptechs all round but they were double the price although I did nearly come close to buying a set of Endless fronts but with 370mm disks I wasnt confident they would fit under my wheels

what are those are they the same as the 370 or bigger

Update time :)

Engine is pretty much done & should be back at the end of this week :teeth:

Popped up last night and took a few pics now that the suspension is settled. The front will drop a bit more once theres an engine in there ;)

Happy for you fella........ It'll probably drop a little more. What suspension are you running?

Chris, I could do with that encouragement on my thread........

I am helping to build yours so it's hopeless for you really :p

The rear wheels are already tucked  just pushing it around the workshop its rubbing the arches

Still have plenty of adjustment left aswell :teeth:

Running Cusco street Zero coilovers :)

I'm guessing you've not rolled your arches then?

That's what you're looking for :teeth:

To be fair you'e done more than 2 other companies put together in a FRACTION of the time. The hard part was the easy part, but still, in a weekend with modifications. These two farty companies couldn't organise an empty drawer!!

Wednesday tomorrow - fingers crossed on a date for collection!!

Can't wait to see this finished, I'm now stuck between doing this or running a turbo setup on the vq but for the same price by the time you fully forge could probably do the swap????

I think a TT setup would be cheaper

2jz prices are on the up unfortunately :(

I think I would prefer a forged vq than std internals 2jz, even if it did cost near similar. I wonder if Ian would have taken this route if he didnt already have the 2jz to hand?

If I didn't have a 2jz to hand this build would never have happened - I'd be driving a r33 gtr

I've been quite lucky that I've managed to make a lot of money back by selling supra parts so I've not put that much of my own money into it.

To do a basic 2jz swap your looking at around £12k and that's before brakes and suspension

No plans to do that.

The 2JZ is heavier but nobody seems to be able to give a definitive answer as to how much heavier.

I've spoken to a few guys in the middle east who have done the conversion & they reckon that the chassis handles it brilliantly so with my OTT suspension setup I'm hoping it will be good :)
