Yep, that would be me. I seem to spend a lot of time in the Shell filling station and its not just because there are regular queues !!! That is the stretch of road they are on regularly .

I did a similar course about 14 years ago after I crashed one of my cars ~ was actually really good as mine involved a lot of driving with a Police pursuit trained driver who taught us "one to one" lot's of valuable tips about spotting hazards at speed, safe driving techniques & defensive driving skills.

 

Was some classroom based stuff as well but mainly 3 days of driving around learning cool stuff.

 

Doubt it's like that nowadays but you never know you may enjoy it & learn some valuable skills.

That sounds alot better than what im doing, its 4 hours long and envolves sitting in a room the whole time! But hopefully it does teach me somthing if only not to accelerate out of a 30

Oh well, hopefully they'll be some female eye candy there to distract you a little if you're lucky.

Consider yourself lucky if you got the speed awareness course. I just had my reply from my hearing for when I got caught by a speed gun on my way back from the Wales trip this year - not a good outcome. I've been given 6 points lesson well and truly learnt...

Not condoning speeding of any sort on here - but was caught doing 91mph in a 60mph zone...
