Keyser Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 (edited) Welcome to Blue Peter boys n girlz I wanted a pillar pod - all the "generic" ones look crap take a max of 3 clocks (I want 4) and they sit on the inside face of the pillar restricting vision - so I thought I could do better ................... Only thought mind you not sure if this is gonna work but it turned into an episode of Blue Peter First take out the OE Pillar - Duplicate it (here is one I prepared earlier ) now it got silly trying to line the pods up in the right place at the right angle and keep them there - ended up (Mrs Keysers suggestion) using drinking straws and masking tape little bit of fiber glass and resin to hold the first bits then it got really silly !!!!! Modified the straws with thin card and masking tape until I got the shape I was happy with To the man cave Start making the shape up in fiber glass left it here drying see what it looks like in the morning shall we??? I'll let you know if it ends up in the bin Edited February 8, 2015 by Keyser 3 Quote

Keyser Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Just a quick update on the Blue Peter Pillar Pod as I got a couple of hours in tonight After leaving it over night it looked the same in the morning - no big surprise there then Out to the Zed Shed Start with the rough edges that's a bit better Slap on the filler sand and slap on more filler Getting a shape I like Hope to start getting all the rough bits out tomorrow then onto primer (if the test fit is good) Quote
Keyser Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) Which guages are you going for Chris? GlowShift elite 10 colour - 2 x AFR 1x Oil Pressure 1x Boost I usually use AEM but there is a very good reason I used Glowshift this time Edited February 9, 2015 by Keyser 1 Quote
Keyser Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 They don't do green No anyway I'm BLUE at the moment - actuallly 2 reasons - 1. I had the 2 AFR gauges (the most expensive ones to buy) from Mrs Keysers SC build that never happened 2. The GlowShift's are very short gauges making them ideal for a pillar pod 3 Quote
