Roof Re-Wrap

BulletMagnet

Recommended Posts

Seeing that my first roof wrap was starting to show signs of wear and tear, it was time to have it redone.

Luckily, Steve (zippypooz) was looking for a spare OEM Bose HU and I had mine knocking about after my Pioneer went in the Zed a few years ago.

After a few PM's back and forth we decided on 3M Gloss Black Metallic.

A deal was made and I travelled down to Burgess Hill to have the wrap done.

Trim stripped and surface cleaned and prepped

Then the squeeging process starts to get rid of any creases and bubbles

Ahhh if you were nearer id help you do it. You could do it yourself though with someone else the other side of the roof. Just remember youll need a heat gun and a thermo...the vinyl has 2 memories, one as it is and two when you heat it to 90 degrees it will stay as it has been conformed. Heat is a must.
