Competition stage 2 clutch died in a month!?

I ordered a Competition stage 2 clutch 1month ago via Clark Motorsport, did the whole bedding in procedure 500 miles then adjust after 750 miles etc.

The mechanic that fitted it was the same one that fitted my exedy stage 1 which lasted a year bare in mind 13000 miles.

Im sure iv only done about 3000miles and the clutch biting point is basically gone, clutch is slipping I havent even been on track or driven it hard yet?! :surrender:

Is there anything that iv not done? iv checked over the instructions and everything was done.

for the first 3weeks biting point was fine if not a little juddery. which is supposed to go away after a while but instead of it going away my biting point is almost a brake level!?

Iv read up on other forums having problem with this particular stage2 clutch, has anyone else had this problem or could shed some light on the situation?

Thanks

Saskhi

Firstly, I should PM Ewen (he's a decent bloke) at Clark Motorsport and ask him about warranty and known issues, secondly, did you change the flywheel at the same time, thirdly, unless you've been tracking 13000 isn't a lot on an Exedy Stage 1 TBH. :)

I'd say change the mechanic if your old one only lasted that long too then i dont think he's doing it right lol! 13k on a stage 1 is nothing either, also as above im changing mine as we speak and have changed the flywheel to as suggested when doing the clutch as them dual mass thingy's are a bit dodgy!

Jesus I didn't expect to see this post considering how fast you went through the stage 1 mate! Got to be something wrong for it to fail this early unless it is something like pedal adjustment or the flywheel?

Sounds like you have an issue somewhere else in the system to wear out 2 clutches that quick. Far to quick.... Unless your on the strip.

Sorry guys im such an idiot! Iv been adjusting the pedal wrong.. the rod is supposed to come out towards you not in, hence why when i adjusted it the biting point went higher, to the point where it was near the top of the clutch pedal travel and wasnt fully engaging hence slippage. She fine now but feels very oem rather than stage2 though as before it was rather bite or stall with it.
