Hey up Guy's 'N' Gal's - Shropshire Here!

Recommended Posts

Hi folks.

Just wanted to do the decent thing and introduce myself. I'm Mike, 30 and Shropshire is my location.

I don't own a Zed just yet, but will be looking to fairly soon. My main predicament is that i currently drive my first ever dirty tractor powered car in the form of a Saab 9-3 1.9TID 150 Vector Sport - Remapped to 187 (pants power, i know!)... It has cost me a fortune in repairs due to electrical faults and failings, all of which are rare for the model... I am and always have been a Jap car lover at heart though, having owned everything from Mk2 MR2's to 200sx's and even an R33 Gts-t and GTR... However a big change in circumstances in recent years gone by, brought on by major surgery on each of my legs has left me slowly crawling back into the realm of "decent cars" :drive1 and given that i've always been a huge fan of the 350 and not yet owned one... IT IS TIME :D

So, tomorrow, my Saab goes in for another £1250 of repairs inc New 3 piece clutch kit, DMF, oil service, trailing arms/bushes and discs and pads all around with the local specialist. This, along with everything else that i've had done, should help towards a decent price when i come to sell her, in favour of my long time desired Zed

So... Sorry to waffle on in my first post about the Swedish wheels, but once i've found the right Zed for me and the money is there to secure it, i'll be a much more familiar face around here i hope and should do some meets too when i get the time and money!

Any hints, tips or useful things to look out for when Zed shopping would be mega appreciated as although i'm by far not a Nissan and Nismo virgin, i'm not overly familiar just yet with all things "Z Power"! :)

Thanks all,

Mike ("Shifty")

Thanks everyone! :)

I'm near constantly researching when i get in from work, of an evening. So, i'm getting there slowly! It won't be an 06^ model due to the stupid difference in tax. But i'd love to find a very nice, clean, well looked after example. UK car with GT pack essential as is comprehensive FSH etc... Would probably plan to budget for around £6000 - £7500 Once my car has sold and i have pennies together...
