R35LEE Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 True engineering excellence and an absolute work of art  Quote
Ekona Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Saw that last night. At first I was disappointed that Chris wasn't saying anything during the track stuff, but when he says at the end that he realised that he might never get a chance to drive one again and that he wanted to just enjoy it rather than ramble, I completely understood. Not great journalism that bit, not very professional even, but every single petrolhead can understand exactly where he's coming from. Instantly forgiven. Good rapport with the McLaren guy too, who seemed refreshingly bullsh*t free. Quote

Similar thing happened when clarkson and sutcliffe from auto car tested it, it seems to be too much for the brain to cope with giving a running commentary of how it drives when it's delivering that performance Quote
delz0r Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 This car is really mind blowing. It's the first car in a long time that is poster worthy. Quote
Jp606 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 What a car! Really good video thanks for sharing. Quote
Stutopia Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 That thing is astonishing. It's so good to have the McLaren guy there telling you all about the engineering too, not just the usual Clarkson gibberish about speed, but also how they think through making something like that. I could watch detailed technical videos of the design and fabrication process for hours. Favourite bit is where he asks if he is aloud to spank it on the track and he just matter of factly says, yeah, do what you like, that's what we built it for. Quote
wmr1980 Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Now THAT's a car review. What beast - I don't think the Porsche 918 can match that. Quote
350 Russ Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 im in love with this car, i even have it as the background on my laptop, Here is a good video from EVO that goes into quite a bit of detail about it and i love this one Quote
Joneades Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Is there one word to describe that car? Nope, it hasn't been written yet, maybe the new word will be peeone, the only word that can describe itself? Quote
Suits Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Good vid. Been waiting for that since the written review. As said, it's the most glorious looking super/hypercar there has been in a while, the back end and the front lights are so good looking I find it hard to comprehend that a human could come up with the design. bronzee Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Stunning. Looks like a bat in flight with the doors open. Quote
AK350Z Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Never loved the look of a car so much since the ubiquitous Countach on the bedroom wall. That rear view is the best of any car ever I think. Quote
Tomb Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 This car ... Jesus, the things I would do to own one! Quote
Jetpilot Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 The best thing for me is, its BRITISH Quote
