Back in the day, when he had the "chat show", my mrs thought he was acting outrageously towards his guests, once I'd stopped laughing, I let her know he wasn't a real chat show host :lol:

I have Alpha Papa sat on the shelf, havent watched it since I bought it in the Christmas sale...must make time...

I wouldn't...It's okay as a film, but nowhere near as funny as the series.

My favourite quote is i think from S02E01 with the South African guy, who says 'No Alan, you can't!' and Partridge replies '...well there's no need for that!'

Still my favourite comedy of all time. All three series are pure comedy genius, especially Joe Beasley and Cheeky Monkey.
