The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 350z DE with Spacer 350z HR Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Fitted fine on Arran's DE with spacer. However with mine, it required a bit more work. It will be fine if you do not have polished tubes like my Injen does. So standard intakes and silicon hosed intakes are fine. Supercharged and Stillen/Injen polished intake tubes, it will fit, but it's really tight so you may end up damaging your polished bits. 1 Quote

KyleR Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 BBK - did you try revving whilst it was fitted? I'd be a little worried it might get damaged or damage the engine cover when the engine twists that little bit. Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 I got a poorly four year old at the moment , I will start a GB thread shortly though guys, just got tie up with some other forums and work out some pricing. I'm available for rent on Tuesdays and Sundays Quote

DoogyRev Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 How much room was there between the top of the strut and the hood when shut? You could potentially put a spacer to lift it a wee bit. Quote
KyleR Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 How much room was there between the top of the strut and the hood when shut? You could potentially put a spacer to lift it a wee bit. This is what I was thinking. Surely there's more than 10mm? Quote
DoogyRev Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Would be easy to work out with thin layers of cardboard, just keep layering it until it dents when you close the hood. Quote

The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 The strut bar is thinner than the original and sits lower than it too. So yeah spacers would be perfect. Didn't think of that. Doh! At the same time, it definitely wouldn't fit with my injens then. Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 BTW Arran's has spacers too. So they will be needed if your DE engine has a plenum spacer. But I suppose you need that anyways for the stock strut brace. Quote

Ceejay29 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Just to clarify; it clears the DE plenum when spaced, is this without the spacers beneath the standard strut shoes? Thanks Quote
Arran Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Mine has the spacer and spacers underneath the strut bar fella 1 Quote
