rtbiscuit Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Rx7 and nsx were the only 2 90's cars I still love. Supra is ok, but not a Nissan fan of the old stuff. Quote
Jetpilot Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 You could build a Rx7 for about 50p these days, they are breaking them left right and centre as their value has just gone and unfortunately having just moved from Rx7's, the community is getting...well shall we say, Impreza like. The Supra is about the only jdm sports car from that era that is holding its value. I said to the Rx7 specialist i use, the only way i would ever get back into one is if it was built from scratch, new everything, ironically he has an absolutely brand new shell he bought from Mazda sat in his workshop for sale, very tempting One day, but not until their is some value in them again. docwra Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 The r34 gtr was ment to be 276bhp O-60 in 5.2 seconds. Aye, and big German cars are all limited to 155mph as well NSX is probably the only one that could hold its own still these days, I wouldnt mind an Evo9 GT though. Quote
Mikesding Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) NSX all the way NSX is one sexy beast inside and out. ......but I never understood the performance figures. The 3.2 was rated at 280bhp with 0-60 of 5.7 sec. The R34 was over 100kg heavier, rated at 280bhp but 0-60 in 4.5 sec RX7-RZ 0-60 in 4.9 sec. At 5.7 sec it seems the 370 would leave the NSX for dead. I'd still have the NSX over the 370z though The 0-60 time isnt really based on pure horsepower, more about the torque/gearing/drive NSX = 220 lb-ft of torque and rear wheel drive R34 = more like 300+ lb-ft of torque, all wheel drive and turbo But I agree - I would have thought the NSX had more power than it did, it was always my favourite car in Gran Turismo Always tuned it to ridiculous horsepower and it always handled the best.
