Buying a 350z from Trade-link.

We sold the car within a week and the customer was very happy with his purchase. 35 profile or not. The car also had an inch thick of paperwork of invoices and receipts since its import and had obviously been maintained to a high standard by its middle aged owners. Not as you say.

I am shocked at the hostility to which you guys on the forum treat traders with. Its very unfair and i would like to respond to the comment to which someone made about bad attitude with regard to hearing the exhaust note over the phone?? Not your average request and pretty pointless to do so because of the distortion over the phone, but none the less,

Seb my business partner took the call and was driving the car in question at the time. He stopped the car and took pictures of the rear of the vehicle and immediately emailed to the caller, as requested. Then he had two further calls regarding the "exhaust note" from the same caller. He was still driving the car and slowed down and let the caller hear the engine whilst accelerating!! (i'll probably have another witch hunt now for him driving whilst on the phone)... anyway Seb then stopped and revved the engine for the caller, to which he said thank you very much and we NEVER heard back again...

Customer service is not a thing of the past here at tradelink and i would urge members of this owners club to come and see us and see for yourselves what kind of outfit we run. We have been selling 350zs for over 3 years as they have got increasingly more affordable. We specialise in affordable performance and like it or not we are going to sell 350zs for as long as they remain worth while for us to do so.

Of course we buy for one price and sell for more... Its the way of the world. We are being made out to be 350z rapists and this too is totally unfair. Some vehicles we actually bring back from CHAV-DOME and put back to standard, some we subtly modify, all for the greater good!!!!!!!!!!!! You will probably find that at some point some of the cars that you are driving have been sold by us!

They are great cars and tremendous fun in both standard and modified form. We are motor traders and fall victim to a very cruel stereotype which really is not us...

yeah yeah... i am just frustrated with the lot of you. i am trying here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Listen mate......firstly youve had more bollocks than most traders who get slated and at least turned up to plead your case.

Secondly if you specialise in zeds of the cheap, variety then for me personally yes you will have a few hanging cars.

However lastly.....this is a car forum and ultimately people will give opinion. If there ia amy hint of poor stock, dodginess or owt else youll find people go at it ten fold which to be fair in todays harsh economic climate is not always very fair (you should see what we say about s20004u and keighley autos!).

My advice is keep your cool now.....because we are going to bait the life out of you for a reaction :teeth: and try and become a more active forum member (perhaps even become a trader). The more active open and honest you are youll find that these lot will be jizzing about your company before you know it regardless of how good or bad you are!

The tyres are not that much of a big deal chaps! If you go to the website and click on 350z section you will see the side pic of the car. The car was fitted with 25mm spacers and the tyres were stretched. Maybe the pic does not do the car justice from the side!

My Fairlady..You are saying you would sell a Zed to one of my friends on here with "stretched tyres" (only by 7%).

Would you turn up at the inquest and say "yes I knew the tyre size was wrong" but a profit is a profit..!!

If the Judge is lenient you will only get between 3 to 4 years..!!

You are telling me that if I put tyres on a car that aren't to manufacturers standard its illegal?? No lights on the dash. No advisories on mot. No problems with abs or traction control... so... Don't think so...

You are also saying here that euro look cars and modified cars, not necessarily 350z, are all running exactly the right size tyre diameter?? Rubbish!!!!

Do you know how much it would affect top speed, speedo reading etc? I doubt it.

Just an excuse I feel to slate me and show off your knowledge of rolling diameters.

If that car was slammed on coil overs and rolling on those tyres it would look awesome and you ALL know it!!!!!

You have absolutely no clue about the products you sell, do you?

1. Clearly not illegal, just nowhere near the manufacturer specs. But of course, I'm sure you know better than them. I bet you don't even make sure the tyres are the same type all round, either.

2. If they're run out of spec, then they're wrong as well. I don't differentiate between idiots who own cars privately and idiots who sell them for a living.

3. And you would be able to answer that question accurately? Because you really should be able to if you're so sure that it's fine.

4. Not that we need an excuse, or feel the need to show off, but you have made it fantastically easy for us to do so.

5. No. It would look as retarded as your replies have been. You're clearly prepared to scrimp and not worry about something very basic and obvious as the tyres, so what else are you scrimping on?

Okay, I'm out. Who's next for a go?

Also the tyre wouldn't be stretched as its the same width (225 on the front) as OEM.

Its just got a smaller tyre wall....

I am not showing off its just logical! Everyone on this forum can see/read. So i saw that the tyres looked odd and then read on a closer picture that they were a 35 profile! Simples :D
