Paddy78 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Nice, I've always thought the interior would look nice in moleskin and I guess suede would be pretty similar! Quote
ewan221 Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Good luck with this, think it will look great. Have you checked that it will still all fit ? There was a thread a while ago where someone wraped in leather and he had to shave the plastic a bit. Quote
Dannyg Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 It's pretty thin material so I can't see why not, gunna try and get the bottom console done and fitted tonight so as soon s the football's finished ill get it fitted Quote
marzman Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Yeh i think this might go a bit wrong. I think member tmJak on here had his dash trimmed in alacantara about 5 years ago and when he came to refit it all nothing would go back together, and he had to have it removed, and the parts 'shaved' to make them smaller, before re wrapping it. Maybe just keep checking as you go to make sure everything still fits together. Quote

4RE Leather Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Is that real suede? Not wishing to put the mockers on it but its been banned from vehicles for a while now due to not meeting EU fire regulations. Hence the birth of Alacantara. I wonder if that is restricted just to car manufacturers and does not count for aftermarket DIY? Best of luck anyway as I am considering using leather on mine! Quote

taras Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Its going to be pretty difficult if its suade. May I suggest Alcantara as its thinner and easier to work with. It stretches more and curves better yet still looks similar to suade. Quote
