wizurd Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Afternoon, Probably going to regret asking this but wondered if anyone had any experience with an induction kit that japspeed do for the 350z? http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Nissan-350Z/Nissan-350Z/Nissan-350Z-Cold-Air-Induction-Kit/p-19-1-697/ Thats the one, not sure if it's going to be flimsy or look pants, also i don't know if japspeed are any good. I don't believe the performance gains but i'm just looking to change the note of the engine really. Any advice/opinions welcomed. Cheers Quote

agentsmith350 Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Has anyone actually tried one though..... Quote
Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I have JWTs in stock, Tried and tested Quote
Ekona Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Has anyone actually tried one though..... Would you want to buy from people with such dreadful customer service? Perhaps more importantly, that filter at the end is the only thing stopping your car sucking up all sorts of nasties straight into the engine: Would you want to scrimp there? Maybe if it was £70 just for the filter I could understand it, but they've also got to include all that shiny metal for that price so how much do you think was spent on the actual filtration? It's not something I would ever consider trying, not when there's so many other quality options around. spursmaddave Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Has anyone actually tried one though..... If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then almost certainly it is a duck... 1 Quote
ChrisS Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Has anyone actually tried one though..... Well their not going to admit it now are they. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 its the equivilant of using an empty crisp packet and an elastic band as a condom, sure it will stop some crap from getting through, but its gaurenteed to end in fail. and someone getting fcuked. 2 Quote
evilscorp Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 Looks very similar to the one my car came with, needless to say it didn't last long, ended up cutting it up and fitting the standard airbox on the end with a HKS panel filter. I would go with the JWT pop charger. Quote
wizurd Posted January 15, 2013 Author Posted January 15, 2013 cheers for the opinions all. I wanted a definite answer and I've got one tarmac ill drop you a pm about the jwt ones. cheers all. Quote
AliveBoy Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Sorry to revive an old thread, but thought you might like to know what they are like, I bought one when they first came out. The bends are all angled wrong and the short one is WAY too short and the long one is probably from another car, I can't even work out how it would fit. The brackets are in the wrong place, the "silicone hoses" are like cheese. The Metal is of a lower quality than tin foil, the air filter is like office paper. The ONLY part of it still on my car is the adapter from the air sensor to the cone. I have a different cone on it though now. That final piece will be gone once my apexi arrives on Wednesday! Quote

Tarmac@TarmacSportz Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Ha ha, That write up is the funniest thing I've heard in ages !! Quality - or not as the case maybe. You have got to hand it to Japspeed though, they have the marketing down to a tee. I wonder if they use their own products on their drift cars Quote
taffyjason Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 i won't use japspeed again, mu k2 barely fits and has rusted quickly Quote
