Vik54 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Well... what do we think? Just saw it - not sure about 'best Bond ever' but was bloody good - Javier Bardem kind of stole the show I thought Quote

350 Russ Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 better than casino royale? thats the best bond film imo Quote
Gudzy Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 They've opened the new cinema in Halifax tonight to coincide with Skyfall coming out, it was all booked out. Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Saw it this afternoon. Was good. People need to think of the Daniel Craig ones as a reboot. Not the best though, but worth seeing! Quote
spursmaddave Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Hoping to see it soon I quite like Danel Craig, he is the most believable Bond I think.... Quote
EH 370z Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 (edited) Bit dissapointed Vik, TBH. I really liked the first two reboots, as they seemed as gritty and realistic as the Bournes. I felt it was a mix of the two Bond world and tried too hard to shoe horn in the traditional stuff. Like the modified Aston and the old M office at the end. (Tring not to give too much away) It was harking back to the "same old, same old", to detract from plot and dialog. Like the baddy; well acted, and I agree he stole the show, but the usual psyco with too much disposable income! In short it was worth the trip to the Odeon but not the filming direction I was hopeing for. Edited October 28, 2012 by EH 370z Quote
kbeast35 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 saw it last night and really enjoyed it, deffo not the best one but very entertaining, love the scene when bond meets the villain for the first time very........... uncomfortable Quote

Parsnip Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 Meh. 2 Hours of not an awful lot happenening - they got the franchise very wrong with die another day and its ridiculousness, but the Craig films have went too far the other way IMO - Bond films are supposed to be a bit camp, with silly gadgets, silly cars and silly plots - not a vehicle for people with turtlenecks and rimless glasses to waffle on about camera angles. As A kid I loved Bond - watched Goldeneye on tape (and played the game) far more than was healthy - can't imagine I would get as excited about a beardy bloke with a radio transmitter as I would with a guy driving a tank through St. Petersburg. rob63 Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 I'm currently working out in OZ, want to go and see the new Bond film but have promised the missus I'll wait 'till I get back then we can both go...not sure I can keep to that. Quote
