Bought a Zed yesterday and today while I was reading the owner's book and trying out all of the functions, I must have accidently gone into diagnostic mode and activated the air bag light. Thought I'd bought a wrong 'un for a moment but this fixed it so thanks a lot for the info.

Airbag warning light randomly started flashing today, going to try re setting as above in the morning. Any ideas why it would start flashing.

 

I also assume that it will start flashing again after a while so will have to do this again?

Cheers for finding that, mine's just started to flash tonight so I'll give this a try tomorrow.

 

Update: tried it this morning when I got to work and it didn't immediately reappear so hopefully that's cleared it for good.

I reset mine every so often, Mines an 07 I know on the american forums they had a recall for faulty sensors but i've yet to phone my local stealership and ask if mines been fixed. lol

Went out to the car this morning and found the airbag light wouldn't turn off until I found this video and it worked. So I'll just resurface this incase someone else may need it soon.

Mine came on after i'd had a bottle of water rolling around in the passenger footwell and it must have dislodged a connection as i tried the reset but it didn't get rid of the light so i went through all of the connections of the spaghetti under the seat, tried the reset again and my light has stayed off ever since..

Was pulling my hair out as MOT next week and airbag light started flashing after steering wheels was removed, did this and all sorted. This is what owner forums are all about

Just worked for me aswell, mine had been flashing for years and didn’t realise it was such an easy fix untill I found this!

Did the above reset today and it worked a treat. Brought the passenger seat all the way forward to fit a rear dash cam and the connector under seat didn't like it.

Got the car cleaned so it looks it's best for the MOT tomorrow and on the way home the airbag light started flashing away Two minutes search on the forum and it's sorted
