Hi All,

I am currently on the hunt for a nice Z....I currently drive a mk5 golf gti which is a nice car but I am hankering after some v6 rwd action!!

I have looked around dealers and there seem to be a lot of scabby 350z's kicking about. I think I may be best of selling the GTi private and buying a nice clean example from a forum user...seems to be the best way for these cars!!

What you guys reckon?

I WILL have my dream Z soon, heart wants an orange one but head says I should go for a more suttle colour :-)

im happy if the car is mechanically sound.....that one looks beautiful!

cosmetics can easily be sorted for the summer its not like my gti is picture perfect a 7-8 year old car will always have it scuffs

Just need to find a buyer for the gti!!!

As requested, the outgoing gti....no mods apart from remapped to 240bhp and had the wheels sprayed gloss black.

Pretty nice spec with xenons, heated seats and factory sat nav, will def miss her! After sitting in a Z i would say the gti interior is much nicer and better built but im not to concerned about that I just want v6 and rwd :-)

Looks tidy. The zed may not have an interior to rival anything from Germany but as far as jap sports car interiors go it's not bad at all

Everything else about it will make u forget the golf tho :drive1

agreed the z i test drove was much more fun to drive than the golf, which won me over.

The z looks stunning from the outside but some of the interior seems a bit looses and plastic :-) but who care about that???!

Going from a Golf GTI (albiet a mk4 GT TDI), you`ll notice how the interior isnt as good. You`ll also probably find you wont be able to drive it as hard with as much confidence as you`ll have gotten used to in a hot FWD hatch.

Also, your right. You are will be miles better off selling your car privately. I got over 4 times (yes FOUR TIMES) the price the dealer offered me for my Golf by selling it privately. Depending on the dealer, they will just stick your car straight into an auction, so they`ll simply give you same price they fetch in the auction just to get shot of it. Your golf does look nice though, so you may be a bit more lucky and if its non a main dealer then they might just mark it up and put it on their forecourt.

Better tyres. ;) Then you can throw the car around a lot more.
