1. cheers chaps!! im going with it
2. Most on autotrader with similar mileage are going for 5200 - 5800 range. I bought it for 5.5 so im happy with 4.5 as trade in as you always take a hit. 7k is overpriced unless its a minter and very low mileage id say
3. I know they are, when i test drove some vw's i nearly put the clutch through the floor and pulled the gearstick off after drving the z. BUT the synchros are totally brown bred in 5th and 6th have to let the revs drop before i can shift up :-(
4. I though it was pretty good....i bought the car for 5.5k in october 2012 so im happy.....and as i say the gearbox is starting to crunch which could end up pricey.... sorry to say its going for a diesel vw golf, mile munching up and down the motorways!!
5. Sad to say the 350z is going the distance due to increased mileage and the fact ive never really gotten on with the car. Ive been offered 4.5k on trade in at a dealership 53 reg, gt pack, tan leather 75k on the clock with nissan service history. Would you say this is a decent price? The gearbox is crunching in 5th and 6th also....so i think its a good time to let go. Cheers, Greg
6. Hi All, Its that time!! P3 Service and MOT needs doing. Any good garage recommendations in the Tyne & Wear / North East Area? Cheers, Greg
7. wow wasnt expecting so many friendly welcomes this late at night :-)
8. Just picked up this 53reg Silver GT with 71k on the clock...well had it for a couple of weeks now..... Loving the car so far but have read some horror stories about gearbox issues which I never picked up on before buying the car and did not notice when I went out in the car. All the gears are fine and slot in nicely apart from high revs going to 5th / 6th gear especially if block changing. It goes in gear fine but there is a little crunching noise. Guess this is going to be synchros but may try the old fluid change first to see if it improves things. Can anybody recommend any good specialists in the North East for servicing and such like? Also the bose hu skips, not to bothered about that as it will be getting ripped out soon for something with proper ipod intergration. Cheers, Greg
9. agreed the z i test drove was much more fun to drive than the golf, which won me over. The z looks stunning from the outside but some of the interior seems a bit looses and plastic :-) but who care about that???!
10. As requested, the outgoing gti....no mods apart from remapped to 240bhp and had the wheels sprayed gloss black. Pretty nice spec with xenons, heated seats and factory sat nav, will def miss her! After sitting in a Z i would say the gti interior is much nicer and better built but im not to concerned about that I just want v6 and rwd :-) 165524_10150102737345907_659025906_7798800_4695697_n.jpg
11. im happy if the car is mechanically sound.....that one looks beautiful! cosmetics can easily be sorted for the summer its not like my gti is picture perfect a 7-8 year old car will always have it scuffs Just need to find a buyer for the gti!!!
12. Hi mate your from the North East, im in gateshead let me know if you know of any good Z's for sale in the area!!
13. Hi All, I am currently on the hunt for a nice Z....I currently drive a mk5 golf gti which is a nice car but I am hankering after some v6 rwd action!! I have looked around dealers and there seem to be a lot of scabby 350z's kicking about. I think I may be best of selling the GTi private and buying a nice clean example from a forum user...seems to be the best way for these cars!! What you guys reckon? I WILL have my dream Z soon, heart wants an orange one but head says I should go for a more suttle colour :-)
