Keyser Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Hi everyone, Need some advice for CelticVal, She will be visiting the ZedShed soon and we are intending to change her JDM brakes for Brembo's. We have the full kit - callipers, Disks Pipes etc all OEM parts but what pads? I being a very very occasional track user ran DS2500 on my stock setup and with my PF front disks I have a fair bit of info on what pads are good for track but would appreciate some input on good road use options. I'm told she won't be using the car on track, I don't want to recommend DS2500 as they are expensive unless the feeling is they are worth it for road use. Over to the experts ............................ Quote

rtbiscuit Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 i'd probably say the yellow stuff pads would be adequate, or if you like ferodo i think they did a ds2000 which was a slight step down from the DS2500 Quote
Vik54 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Chris! why did you need to point out it was advice for a woman LOL - just saying road use no track would be fine Surely just go Brembo all round if there's no track use intended - or are they just as expensive as DS2500's? - I dunno 'cos I've always just stuck with the PF / Ferrodo set up Quote
ZMANALEX Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I would recommend the Ferodo DS2500, however these will do the job Chris viewtopic.php?f=157&t=55106 viewtopic.php?f=157&t=55107 Also best not to refit the OEM rubber hoses viewtopic.php?f=157&t=49449 Quote
coldel Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 +1 on the braided lines, for the cost, a good addition - makes the brake pedal travel a lot less and sharper - bit of a faff fitting (well not really once you know what to expect). Quote
