Wasso Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Okay a little update: Phoenix Automotive Technologies are no longer part of this project. This means that exhaust is totally under our remit now. The decision has been made to custom build down pipes, as seen above, which then be adapted so they connect to a standard design of the 350z exhaust. So in the short term, my MD TDX V2 will be going back on the car whilst we are in developing the rest of the car. So this creates another tick box now complete. The engine loom (OEM and Custom) along with the ECU will be heading up to Emerald at the weekend. Another visit to the Zed Shed this weekend to continue working on said bits above, with a view to getting the car into a "road legal" state. Stay tuned over the weekend. Quote

Wasso Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Yaaaaaaaaarp!!!! Might be a bit bassier but it will still be a Yaaaaaaaaaaarp I shall be on site to wind you up offer encouragement where appropriate Behave as Bennett called me to say the suspension mounts go at the bottom It will be quite intriguing to hear the difference with the same exhaust. Although it will possibly be louder than before as the OEM cats won't be fitted and replaced with just down pipes. It should be interesting to say the least. 2 Quote

Keyser Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Evening all As per Wasso's post above - we need down pipes No1 - make it so ........................... Zed rolls in and goes up Spark protection in place Welding table ready Before I start on that, I collected this today - The new custom made power steering pipe - cracking job Ok here we go It's a sharp angle but as it reverses so quick I don't think it will give to much restriction and I'm using 2.5" pipe Next bend I lost count of the bends At this point my chop saw went bang so that's going to slow progress!! So I welded what I had done very hard to photo but it does fit The flange got finished just before I ran out of gas in the welder Off to the shops tomorrow to get some Gas - going to have to look into a new saw as well Zed Shed Signing off .......................... 1 Quote

Will370z Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Nice work gents. Have fun this weekend, would love to pop down and say hi but am heading up to Evesham for the weekend. Good luck with the progress Quote
Wasso Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 It's a bracket that's over engineered beyond that of the OEM bracket. It's a bracket, what do you want, dipped in fake carbon and lined with diamonds? Quote
