Yeah when are they ready! Love to see em being a fellow Volk'er.

Looking at sealants for my new wheels, I saw you mentioned Finish Kare, how about something like this from amazon?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Swissvax-Autobahn-Wheel-Wax-50ml/dp/B0045J0BKQ/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1307986466&sr=8-18

Or am I over doing it? I know Swissvax are a good brand...

Just very protective of my new wheels now :boxing:

Get the most durable wax you can get for the wheels. Generally that's fk 1000p or colly 476. However, what really works best for the spokes since they're painted is something like gtechniq wheel armour

Im thinking the gtechniq stuff, I hope 15ml will do the wheels once over?

Ooo gord, I don't remember now, all I remember is that I had plenty left over

15ml apparently will be enough to do the faces, but iirc I sealed inside the barrel and the faces, then wasted however much on the polished dish (don't do this, they're bare metal so it won't stay).

Think I must have got 25ml. Really cool stuff though

Looking excellent mate... but why did they take a month to do?

Well, he is a rather busy fella, plus I told him I wasn't in a rush.

But it was deffo worth the wait and I can say that you can entrust this man with your wheels.

Sorry, in my opinion I wouldn't put those rims on MY zed

THEY'D STAY IN MY LOUNGE...so I could constantly gaze at them, carress them, feel the cool smooth lips with my fingertips :p

Not jealous in the slightest ;)

Ordered some Poorboys Wheel Sealant on PureKLAS recommendation.

@marzman

Another reason it took so long was that the polished lips were anodised and it was tough to get that layer off.

Poorboys arrived today and after sun was low and wheels were cool, I applied the first layer, waited 20 mins to let it cure and buffed it off.

Noticed already how slippery smooth it is and after buffing I applied another layer and am letting it cure overnight.

Who said buffing in the morning is wrong, haha

is it better to use than the rim wax; as i must admit i bought a pot and wasn't that impressed with it, as it seemed to leave a lot of white residue behind.
