martinmac Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 When the last stick of furniture has been sold and the bank have stopped giving me money. The zed keeps me sane in this ridiculous world. Quote
drewbie Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 When the last stick of furniture has been sold and the bank have stopped giving me money. The zed keeps me sane in this ridiculous world. I'm with martin on that one. I work my a**e off, pay mounting bills, sort out a family, I'd go mad without the Zed. Whatever it costs I need it ! Quote
davej Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 When the last stick of furniture has been sold and the bank have stopped giving me money. The zed keeps me sane in this ridiculous world. +1 here, cant beat that moment when you start, and the give it a bootful then nothing else matters!! Dave Quote

sl114 Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 and sell the zed due to ever rising costs of fuel and tax............ When costs outweigh your enjoyment +1, i guess this is the same category but also when you cant afford to run the car and have a lifestyle Quote
willo Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 I'm quite lucky as I work in London so use the train, unluckily only get to use the Z at the weekends! Quote
Pimm Posted May 23, 2008 Posted May 23, 2008 I have only had my car for 1 month and tonight i have just sold my e60 530d. My z is amazing and i have no intention of selling it just yet to much fun Quote

ZeddZ Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 When they prise the keys" from my cold, dead hands." Quote courtesy of Charlton Heston Wow,never knew Charlton Heston had a Z. In the 6 months I have had mine.A fill of fuel has gone up from 60 odd quid to 80 odd.I know within the next 12 months it will be up to £100 but I still can't see myself selling it. Quote
lilsheepshagga_turbo Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 tbh price of fuel and tax and whatever wont ever make me sell any car....all price's fluctuate, mainly prices go up but my wages are paid upon that... so if the price of fuel and other necessities go up then so will my pay. -ho Quote
marzman Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 At the moment - the speed i drive is relative to the price of fuel. It is painful, but other things will go before my zed. ...like my overdraft. Quote
clarkie34 Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 So you have had enough of rising fuel prices and tax and you buy a diesel. How would you feel then, pretty crap i would imagine. If the government has thier way we would all be riding bikes. Quote
stanski Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 Sell it when the deserts freeze over and the camels come scating home ......... (its an old one but....) Sell it when they put a 20mph limit on all roads and straighten out the twisty bits ! Quote
Sarnie Posted May 24, 2008 Posted May 24, 2008 To be fair, my gallardo was costing me £100 a week in petrol alone. But once I got in it, money was a distant memory.........If i was paying £100 a week to drive a @*!# heap I'd sell it asap. As long as the zed provides the enjoyment you'd expect, keep it. If, all you think about, when driving it, is mpg, tax, insurance, depreciation etc then you need to get rid Quote
neo Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 nothing on the road interests me at the moment so sticking with the 350z for a good few months yet Quote
Emperor Ming Posted May 25, 2008 Posted May 25, 2008 The only line for me is when something else comes along that I prefer. Agreed I have had the Zed almost 2 years and loved it BUT I am always looking for my next car. MPG, Tax, Cost etc do not really come into the equation. If I like it, can afford it and Mrs Ming gives it the thumbs up (LOL) then I get it!! Ming the Considered. PS Bollox to the government I will drive what I WANT!! Quote
stanski Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Realistically you will have to ditch it if your starting a family - unless you can squeeze the sproggs behind one of the storage compartments ! Failing that enjoy it....... Save money in other ways - eat that value s**t or like me think about grewing your own veg? Quote
