  1. Can't say this has ever happened to me. Never heard of enyone else complaining either. Could be just yours.
  2. I'm old and these new fangled machines keep catching me out ! Gettin' the hang of it now though. Original post edited.

  4. But then when the 370z is second hand, makes the justification even harder! 370z wins me thinks Spec a cayman to the same standard it the gap gets even wider ! I also think aesthetics come into the emotional decision to purchase, and the Nissan wins here as well IMO. I only wanted a roadster so was looking at a second hand Boxster as an alternative drive, as well as TT's and Z4's. For me the lines of the masuline 350Z won me over. Boxster was the dream drive though. Sooo well balanced and sorted. Zed's somehow more fun though. Bit of an animal and I like that, in my cars and my women
  5. however bad the credit crunch gets........never...never....ever. The shame of it
  6. I'm with you on the looks. I had to have a Zed Roadster after wondering what car it was in a hotel car park. I still love the looks, and sound and sense of drama. Love the attention too. However Nissan could seriously learn from the overall owwnership experience. Mini where fantastic. TLC pack meant FOC servicing for 8 yrs. The dealerships were knowledgeable, treated you with courtsey and respect. Acted like you were the most important customer they'd ever had. I wouldn't change but I miss that side of it. Can only imagine how Nissan are going to cope with the expectations of GT-R owners whose previous experiences will be from Porsche/Jag/Audi/BMW. Animals in my Nissan tried putting stock oil in on the first service - I now supply my own Fully Synthetic !
  7. +1 I don't think even a 210hp Works can trouble a Z, if the Z driver is not caught off guard. Hmmmmm not so sure...... Depends what kind of roads it's on. I had a JCW mini and traded it for my 350Z. Mini will win on twisty roads hands down. It's lighter, nippier and handles far better. But I love my Zed for all its lardy, softy sprung arse.
  8. Congratulations and well deserved.
  9. Thanks PM sent. Still interested in people's views on these and whether it will achieve what I'm after. Just want it more planted and stop that floaty back end and excessive body roll when cornering at speed.
  10. Hi Guys(and Gals of course) Looking at fitting coilovers. Want improved handling without damaging ride too much as it is a daily driver - which also means I don't want it much lower either. Contacted TDI North who are my closest specialist and they offerred Eibach Pro Street S ( I had asked about KW V2's but they don't do them - claiming Eibachs are cheaper and better quality ). They are certainly cheaper than KW V2's but wondered if anyone has any feedback after fitting them. If anyone anywhere near Manchester/Cheshire can offer/fit alternatives I'm all ears and wallet.
  11. Gorgeous car. I'd be straight in there if it wasn't for mine. Lovely mods. Very tasteful and stunning in that colour.
  12. I quite like it, bit different, if a bit extreme. Why does no one do really good 'diffuser' style rears ?

    PS1 with PS2

So long as you dont mix tyres on the same axle then you are fine, ie you want both front tyres doing the same thing, and both back tyres doing the same thing. It's when you mix at the front/back you get real issues as one side grips better than the other with obvious results
  14. Ah yes that problem. I think you'll find most of our ladies think that detailing products cost anywhere up to £6 for the really good stuff, Body kits around £150 for a full set ( well it is just a bit of plastic ) and engine mods range between £50 - £200 The unwritten rule is that we never talk about prices when we're out on social events and ladies are present - bless 'em. PS Costco ( for anyone that's a member ) do packs of 50 excellent MF cloths for around £17 !!! They're virtually as good as the Meguairs one I bought for £5 each I sold 20 of them to a mate for £20 and have now got 30 MF cloths and £2 profit - got to make savings where you can.
  15. Just to add that the first shopping trip[ hurts, but this stuff lasts ages and proves far better than your 5 std valets. And you get great satisfaction
  16. Fantastic write up. Can't wait for the roadster.
  17. OK, I have sobered up, come back to try again, lasted two posts. Gersen your clearly borderline genius. I'm clearly thinking too straight at the minute. I think I better leave this thread and try again on your next from the start.
  18. Preferred the look of the 350 roadster to the Boxster and then money made the final choice. The 350 gets a lot of smiles from inside and outside the cabin. Having said that as a driver who loves drivers cars it's a Boxster S for me as the ultimate convertible ( outside of supercars ). The balance and power are just so useable and confidence inspiring. Truly amazing. The only thing to get me off roadsters might be a second hand GT-R though. True super-value super car.
