  1. It's always a vanity thing. That's why I started, used to bodybuild and kept it going to a much lesser and now natural extent - my face was never going to impress the girls so I felt I needed something else . Unfortunately if your genetically skinny you'll never be naturally big no matter how hard you try. Keep at it though and you could get a bit of shape and look very tight and ripped. Don't get caught up on what others look like - or what weights you use. Train hard - to failure. You should ache a bit for two days. That's your body being pushed and repairing itself by growing more muscle. If you don't ache the next day, you ain't done enough to grow. As for the six pack ( and to make it even worse it's actually an 8 pack ) you're diet has too be ultra tight but being naturally skinny you already have an advantage. I went to China last year. Getting loads of interest from the guys on how much training I did etc. Was getting even more interest from the women and I'm not even big. Could have cleaned up out there ! Can't wait to go back. Loved it - although my lungs weren't too keen on the air quality in the major cities !
  2. I use maximuscle Promax - best you can get in my humble opinion. It also mixes with water and has no milk derivitives ( no gas and no lactose intolerance issues ) Creatine is great if used correctly, all of the GB Olympic team are on it and have been for years. I used to do a bit of body building years ago, also fully trained in sports massage and trainer. Most people eat no where near enough protein and these shakes help boost intake. Great at night and in morning. Just rememeber when reading 'Meat Head Monthly' etc that whilst the training programs/advice is usually pretty good, the gains quoted, and men photograghed are rather unattainable unless you possess very freaky genetics or a large supply of steriods !
  3. Sarnie as always talks a lot of sense. However, whilst in principle it could go back to how it was, I severely doubt it. Your right of course that the economy has had 'hic-ups' and re-alignments after which it goes back to how it was. But the crazy under BoE lending rates as well as 5x salary loans and 120% loans were something very new in the extent they were available and to how many. It was a crazt time that has now led to the City suffering a complete kicking, not just a hic-up or adjustment. So this time I don't think things will get back to were they were 18 months ago. We'll go back to sensible lending to sensible people at sensible rates. And let's not forget the banks will also start having to make money from mortgages and savings. The very easy money banks could get hold led them to being a bit bullish. Money will cost them more in future even when it does start to become widely available.
  4. OMG Can't go wrong with Pilot Sports, cracking - although I'm lovin' my Toyo's. First time I've tried them and they are just soo good, especially in the wet.
  5. Excellent mods. Lookin'
  6. Autoglym metal polish brings up my stainless steel exhaust a treat. Might try Autosol if uncle Mike recommends it though - always willing to learn from my elders
  7. I am a big fan of Blackfire. Polished Bliss are an excellent set of guys and a fab web site. Once layered I use Meguirs Hyperwash ( costs a lot but lasts for a year) to wash it down without taking off the finish - stronger cleaners ( beware of car wash's, even the hand clean ones ) can strip off the delicate finishes. Halfords are starting to get Meguirs etc, but it isn't the professional stuff you can get from detail suppliers like Polished Bliss. I find the new Polymer sealers, then a carnuba wax, then a high gloss detail spray really does the job. Once done you can just wash and give a quick HG Detail spray to keep it like that forever. Autoglym leather conditioner is used by a lot of us. But plenty of other good ones.
  8. Put Simply - The oil pump is driven by the engine. The higher the revs the faster it turns, thus increasing the oil pressure. Hot or cold shouldn't make too much difference, although when cold the oil is thicker and more viscous and will give a slightly higher pressure for the revs. Once hot and runny it needs slightly more revs to take it too the same pressure. All very normal. If revs and pressure go up in unison then it's all ok.
  9. Really?? How does he see over the dashboard? Sunroof!
  10. Welcome to the friendliest car club in the UK. Nice wheels ! Hopefully see you soon. Best Wishes from a warm and sunny Manchester ( true on at least 3 days a year ! ).
  11. sold mine very quickly for £450, they were brand new with tyres. Maybe could have got more if I'd tried.

    Kahn RS-X

possibly on a blacked out, black zed coupe but even then it would be ganster and not very Zed. Better on a blacked out Chrylser 300 for full drug lord look. And whatever the car I'll never have intricate spoke wheels again- complete bugger to clean. Go for wheels with as few spokes as possible, that way you can keep all the rims fully clean and get to ( and see ) the Brembo's
  13. According to one of this months car mags 370z coupe is May 2009, Roadster Sept 2010.
  14. From memory torque tails off after 5500rpm, so I guess that would be the optimum change point if correct. Shift light can be adjusted, mines set at 5800rpm but to be honest I can't really see it when I'm going for it as I am concentrating on what's going on through the windscreen. A beep would be better.
  15. +1 with Beavis. Amended Saturday night plans and cancelled a having a shoot on Sunday morning. Turned out to be a bit of rain and a couple of gusts around 9pm and then quiet as a mouse aftre that really. Woke up this morning to perfect still blue skies - perfect shooting weather. Not happy
  16. A part time pole dancer at work likes to sit in mine topless ! .................................or roofless as she puts it.
  17. Mine did something similar from new. Turned out to be ungreased rear drop links on the suspension. As the body shifted under movement the suspension creaked or clicked sharply. Simple grease job cured. Easy to do and worth trying before changing axels etc !
  18. I can only share everyone else's sentiments and wish your dad the best possible recovery as well as wishing you and the rest of your family the strength to cope. Many thanks for taking the time to keep us all uodated, it's much appreciated. Take care, Drew.
  19. I'm no expert but have done a bit of racing years ago, mainly karts - stopped 'cos I was rubbish - but here's my opinion for what it's worth - steering feel is pretty good, although not top class like a boxster etc, on the Zed and turn in is reasonable, although tends to err on the dide of understeer for safety - over correcting can cause over steer (which can be fun or scary depending on whether it was intended). With a FWD car you get a lot of 'feel' through the wheel. Most of this is all the torque as you feel the effect of the engine powering the front /wheels scrabble for grip etc. On a RWD car you only get the feedback of grip, no torque effect through the wheel etc. All they are doing is steering. This makes the feeling much lighter or sensitive. When you turn the wheel the car should act immediately and directly. This means it's all good. The 'feel' needs learning from a FWD car. Hold the wheel lightly - racing drivers sometimes just use finger tips and always a light grip. You need to tune your hands and brain into feeling the grip/or lack of it. It's quite slight. To be honest it steers exactly where you point it and the back will almost certainly loose grip before the front. Therefore feeling the cars balance is more important. Hope this doesn't sound patronising. Not meant too and it isn't the best RWD for feel, which means it's even harder to 'feel' it. Just perciveer with a light grip. A track day or blast on a safe road will help with the confidence.

    Photoshoot

    Excellent shots, very pro
  21. Indian Chief 'Two Eagles' was asked by a white government official, 'You have observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his wars and his technological advances. You've seen his progress, and the damage he's done.' The Chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, 'Considering all these events, in your opinion, wheredid the white man go wrong?' The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied. 'When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex.' Then the chief leaned back and smiled. 'Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.'
  22. The second one is a matter of taste. It looks well done for that type of look. Suede is well finished. Or maybe it's just after seeing the first one What the hell was he thinking. I presume the owner is not only trailer trash with a lucky inheritance, but is also colour blind - yellow and walnut !! Agree with Nixy - walnut's for a jag, and even then only the big comfy barges.
