Payco Posted August 4, 2021 Author Posted August 4, 2021 The day is now approaching for the Datsuns return. Collecting on Sat 14th Aug. She’s been away for 3 months so can’t wait to get her back. In the meantime I’ve been tinkering with ideas to replace the old discoloured wiper wash bottle. I have brought an old BP oil can and made it into the washer bottle. It will drop in where the stock one is. It’s the little touches… 3 Quote

Payco Posted September 19, 2021 Author Posted September 19, 2021 (edited) She came home after 4 months on Thursday. I’m in the process of doing some touches and started with my custom oil can converted to a retro wiper washer bottle today. More updates soon but I’m very very pleased. 40 Weber side drafts on,1.8 engine, complete rewire and lots more. Some photos for those of you that are interested. Payco Posted May 3, 2022 Author Posted May 3, 2022 (edited) I had my rear Hakosouka wing fitted today and I realised I hadn’t updated my progress in this thread all the time. So here are all the latest updates and my new lip. Supersonic grill to replace the old one which makes it look much meaner imho and strut brace. Oh and templated a new boot floor from hardboard and carpeted it. Edited May 3, 2022 by Payco 4 Quote

Payco Posted June 24, 2022 Author Posted June 24, 2022 Fitted new rear brake shoes and cylinders so took the opportunity to paint the drums at the same time. Windscreen wiper motor was a little tatty so painted it and added some Jap touches. Off to a show Sunday so wash and clean tomorrow and all good to go. 6 Quote

Payco Posted July 18, 2022 Author Posted July 18, 2022 (edited) Been wanting to swap out the stock seats as they are a bit bouncy snd sit too high. Wanted to get some seats that looked right in the car. Collected these Alfa Romeo seats from Sutton last Friday. Absolutely mint and a steal at £100 the pair. Fitting them Sat ready for Beaulieu next Sunday. Fitted photos to come. Going to test these iron on patches on some spare leather and pop them on the headrests if they work out.
