davidv10 Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 (edited) Now that i have traded in the car, I thought it would be nice to pin to the top the beginning and end pictures of the car whilst i owned it, to show how much it changed: ' ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After having a few Hyundai Coupes over the last 4 years it was time for a change. I wanted something that looked as sporty but was quicker, and the 350Z was top of my list. I managed to buy this Azure Blue Jap Import which i am really happy with. This is how she looked when i bought her: Edited October 26, 2022 by davidv10 1 Quote
GMballistic Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Looks like a nice clean Zed you have there with Brembo's too so that's a bonus (JDM standard non-Brembo brakes are supposed to be terrible). Quote
Mikey Thompson Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I know someone selling immaculate gunmetal Ray's wheels if you're interested in upgrading Quote
davidv10 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 I know someone selling immaculate gunmetal Ray's wheels if you're interested in upgrading I would love them! But i just dont have the money right now. The car pretty much cleared me out :/ Quote
Mikey Thompson Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 My favourite colour Zed, kinda regretted going Gunmetal but I love mine Quote
The Big Miester Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Nice Azure Zed best colour ,if you decide to remove the spats I would very much be intersted Quote
davidv10 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Ok so it didnt take me long to start modifying the Zed... The first thing i wanted to do was to spray the front difuser in the bumper black. The finish and edges came out perfect and im very happy with it! Edited August 28, 2017 by davidv10 Quote
gazzard27 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I've been planning something similar for a while. Quote
davidv10 Posted February 2, 2016 Author Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) So there have been a few changes made to the car recently. The first was getting a UK spec centre gauge cluster. So i could see the damage of the fuel costs And i found out that there is no clock on the import trip computer... After that i looked at getting rid of the rear fog lense. After inspection i found that being an import it had had some red tint spray on it, and so with a knife i could simply lightly scrape it off. So it took the grand total of 5 minutes: Next i got some 'Z' badges for the front and rear: Next a managed to get hold of a stock spoiler from a guy breaking a tailgate. It looks so much better and really finishes off the rear end: Edited August 28, 2017 by davidv10 Quote
GeorgeW Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 looks like a good start. Free mods are always good, so between scraping the red tint off, and spraying the diffuser, your onto a winner! Quote
davidv10 Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Yeh free mods are always the best! I think i may look at the rear wiper delete next... Quote
GeorgeW Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 yes do it, I did and its really easy. You can also take out the boot weight as well whilst your at it. I dont notice not having a rear wiper, especially as i put rain repellent on when I clean it as well Quote
davidv10 Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Yeh i would use Rainex or something like that. How do you remove the boot weight? Quote
GeorgeW Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 you basically unpop the plastic cover on the boot lid, which is just clips, get your fingers under it and pull as close to the clips as you can - this will prevent any snaps. when its off, you can then remove the boot weight (just undo the bolts - you will see this when you get to it) and the wiper - look this up on the forum for guides Quote
davidv10 Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) Ok so the next thing for me to do was to get some leather seats. Mine were just fabric and there was a patch on the drivers seats from where the fabric had ripped. Managed to get a set on Gumtree for under £200 delivered. They look so much better! Here is a before and after: Edited August 28, 2017 by davidv10 2 Quote
Growling Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Nice job on the seats man.. Those original ones were hideous! Quote
