Ebized Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 OK - we have ZEDs because we love the driving experience. So what public road in the UK would you rate as the best drive? Quote
martinmac Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Evo triangle takes some beating. Great road, nice views and the traffic seems pretty light. Apart from everyone else driving the evo trianle Quote
WoREoD Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I think this has been covered before and I have a few favourites but the best has to be......... Nordschleife at the Nurburgring - 13 miles of pure joy! And one way too (so not much traffic coming the other way unless they're in mid spin!!) Quote

Trev-the-Rev Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 The road from Brecon to Aberystwyth - Great fun just watch out for the police Totally agree. The run from Storey Arms into Brecon isn't bad either. Quote
Ebized Posted December 4, 2007 Author Posted December 4, 2007 Thanks guys - all going down on a map as I hope to take in as many as possible for a tour next year to really test out the ZED Keep 'em coming please Quote
malross Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 A686 from Haydon Bridge to Penrith, via Alston. Starts in a great little gorge, then through more generic Pennine roads with the odd hairpin and a couple of villages up to Alston. Road from Alston then heads up onto the moors to the cafe at Hartside Top and down a somewhat thrilling descent towards the M6. Pretty damned good in the other direction too. Oh, and... Scotland. Full-stop. The A82 from Crianlarich to Glen Coe is a wonderful sweeping road, if memory serves. Actually, take a look here too: http://www.stevecarter.com/bestuk1.htm You just can't go wrong with Scotland, though. Mal. Quote
martinmac Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 Defo agree with the A686, normally not too busy outside the looney season too. And welcome to the forum bud Quote
