  1. Umm, pretty sure that's France you're thinking of. If I remember my law A-level correctly, no such law exists here although there have always been talks about whether one should be introduced. That said, if you do know the exact law in question I'd love to be proved wrong, I like facts like that that no-one knows
  2. Fair enough, if that's how it was meant that I agree 100%. On the other hand, you can end up with how most people in a 4x4 drive when the conditions are awful, which is thinking that they're god and invincible. Sometimes, ye just cannae break the laws of physics!
  3. They won't, as they take too long to load up. I loved the idea at first, but when you think you have to pick up the device, load the app, go to the right screen, then push the button to get to where you want to go, it takes far longer than to just pick the remote up and push the button in the first place. Shame really. Yes. I hate them, as they sound very false and peculiar which disrupts the natural flow of whatever you're watching. Given how decent even the smallest of satellite speakers are these days, I would rather save up a few quid and do it properly than bodge it with a soundbar.
  4. Which Harmony Ian? @Rich: Logitech Harmony, website is full of different ones. I can't make my mind up which one I want!
  5. Which remote do you use Dave? One of the Harmony ones or something different? It's something I've been toying with getting for a year or so now, can't work out if it's a good idea or not though.
  6. But they're not over here because you don't actually NEED them. Whatever did we do in years gone by when there were no such thing as winter tyres, and tyres (and cars, for that matter) were in general much worse? Oh yeah, we drove to the conditions and survived. You'll be telling me that we NEED all these stability and traction control devices in cars simply because the law says we have to have them next.
  7. +1 on the Kube 2, it really is a cracking bit of kit. I do like the Pioneer stuff, the iOS control is a really nice touch albeit it's still quicker just to use the remote! Sound bars are utter shite, unless you're a mong who doesn't understand what proper surround should sound like or have absolutely no other choice (and even then I'd rather stick with decent stereo).
  8. Ironically that's the same reason I hate Alcocko, for anything other than his driving skills If it hadn't been for the gearbox farce last race, I was starting to warm to the guy due to how he had driven this year, but that stunt put paid to that. Incidentally, if Alcocko and Massa finish on the podium together, does Massa have to let Alcocko go up the steps first?
  9. Indeed, they were very wrong to penalise Nico for that.
  10. Cry for me Alcocko. Your tears of despair fulfil me. Well done Seb, great race!
  11. Just drive to the conditions, as you always should. Winter tyres can help, but not driving like a muppet will help far more.
  12. Seb doing it the hard way, but it's a cracking race from him so far.
  13. Ferrari to not fit Massa's brake pads, drives straight into the back of Vettel off the line? Would any oe be surprised?!
  14. Your English is better than a lot of the native speakers on here! Welcome along Paolo
  15. Carpet, foam, old jumpers, anything like that will do. Don't forget to tuck the wing mirrors in too!
  16. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I think it needs a set of Lexus-style lights on the rear. Too much red, doesn't work with the colour of the wrap at all IMHO. Aside from that, I really really like that colour, good job matey. I'd be tempted to do the brake calipers the same colour, or swap them for a set of Project Mu ones...?
  17. Park closer to the left hand side, and carpet the wall on the right. There is plenty of room if you do that, even with my tiddly garage and back when I was nudging 17st I could still get out that way. The Porker is even tighter, luckily I'm substantially thinner now though!
  18. Not on a basic random searching of people going airside. It should all be to the same level, but it never is. Intel is the only really effective way to stop attacks, random searches are essentially useless and are only a minor deterrent. There was a cracking article on the subject by a chap who did the federal level security in the US just after 9/11, shame I can't find it now.
  19. I'd find out all the details before asking an offer. You'll possibly need new tyres too, something else to consider. If they're the perfect sizes and can be repaired, £400 is a bargain. If they're going to rub and scrape and one wheel is borked, then it's miles too much. Need more detail really.
  20. The trouble I have with airport security, and working at Stansted means I deal with it several times a day, is that there is no consistency. Sometimes I have to put my yellow jacket through, sometimes not. Sometimes they want the van emptied, sometimes not. Sometimes they want to check your passes, sometimes not. It makes for a jarring experience when one minute you fly through with a bit of common sense as we only came through 5 mins ago, and then just because there is a DfT inspector standing there they want the bonnet lifted, every toolbox off and x-rayed, stripped down and shown the special glove etc. That's extremely irritating, believe me.
  21. Don't, we've got just the two moggys but I'd love to have more if I could, but they're terrified of just about anything else so it wouldn't be fair.
  22. I like your kittehs, they look so angry and mean yet so puffy and lovely A friend of mine picks their one up next week, such a massive head on a tiny little body, so cute!
  23. They have the exact same security rules as every other UK airport. It just depends on whether the person on security knows they're being watched by their superiors or are on camera as to how detailed the search goes
  24. Since that's the second time my Currys reference has been picked up, I would like to clarify again by saying that the Lakeside one isn't a generic crappy Currys store, it's their European super branch and as such carries slightly better stuff than the one in the high street.
