  1. Well, that'll be me having nightmares tonight then.
  2. It's like I'm drawn to these threads or summat.
  3. If there's more than a couple of mm difference between a new tyre and an existing one then you really need to change both. Given the recent weather conditions and the forecast for the coming months, I'd definitely change a pair. The only time I wouldn't is if I'd only done sub-1K miles on them and got a puncture in one, then I'd only change the single one. What tyres do you have on now? If they're the RE050A then they're a great tyre and I'd stick with them, if they're RE040 then I'd consider something else dependant on budget.
  4. Hey, it's still up for sale if you're interested
  5. It's not really that bad yet, certainly nowhere near where I was at this time last year where I simply couldn't walk more than 10m at a time, it's more like a gentle niggle like I used to get on my really good days. Driving isn't a problem so far, and I have all my seats adjusted pretty much exactly as you mention in your post so I'm kinda already sorted on that front. It's really hard to describe, as it's not affecting me in any real way so far but it's just that knowledge that this is exactly how it started before. I'm not going to let it beat me though or get me down, I know there's solutions out there and all I have to do is find them
  6. Nothing at all, maybe a bit more gym work but nothing that should aggravate the lower back. I'll have a rest over Xmas and see how it goes, but the symptoms are identical. I guess I'm not really that surprised. The surgeon did say that about 1 in 10 people have problems again and will require further surgery, so there was always a chance. It's a tad annoying, but then I guess I can look forward to another 3 months off next summer too now I dunno, at least I had 4 months of no pain which seems like a lifetime after the last 5 years.
  7. Update! My back is starting to hurt again. F*cksocks. *PMs Pete after some of his awesome painkillers*
  8. I think they're great. If you haven't finished puberty, else they look cheap and desperate.
  9. Do it yourself, one of the easiest jobs to do on the Zed
  10. This breaks at least two forum rules, y'know.
  11. Is that not called real life?
  12. I like that idea, I'm going to start thinking of the theory behind it!
  13. It's due to the Ackermann principle, see Colin's explanation above. Not a problem, it's just how cars are designed these days.
  14. Pffft, I want the biggest telly I can physically fit in my lounge, 'perfect viewing distances' be damned!
  15. First rule of buying a new TV is to ignore everything everyone on the internet tells you. Find a shop with loads in and go and see for yourself which looks the best picture for you, and go from there. Test your favourite BD on it, and if you're into gaming do that too. Once you're happy, go home and search the interweb for the best deal. I prefer LED backlit screens to plasma, and I don't give a stuff what all the reviews and gods on the AV Forum say. It looks better to my eyes with the stuff I use it for, and that's all that matters really as it's my money I'm spending. I hate 3D and Smart TVs hold absolutely zero interest for me too, I just want a great screen with zero faffing. My Sammy 8 series is three years old now, and it's still up there with the better LED backlit screens that are out today. Even though I want a bigger screen now (55" just ain't enough these days!), the extra leap in quality just isn't there to justify spending another few grand on a new one.
  16. If I'm reading that correctly, the 458 and 430 drives are nothing you couldn't get from turning up in some smart clothes at a Ferrari dealer and taking a test drive. No way I'd be paying for that. The 30 mins drive could be good value, assuming the car isn't limited and the roads are interesting. 30 mins on the M25 wouldn't be such a great deal.
  17. Also worth trying holding the nozzle upside down too.
  18. A chair pushed out at the right time can often quieten said child up very quickly, but you have to do it hard enough to knock them unconscious. It's a bit of a black art.
  19. Sounds like an electrical issue to me, possibly either cutting all fuel or all spark. What ECU are you running?
  20. Power cut straight away, no dodgy running beforehand?
