  1. Buy the right GTR and you won't lose much on it, could sell after a year for minimal loss. Hop across into the 911 and do pretty much the same, then grab a 370Z for a bit by which point the BRZ should be at a much more reasonable price point. Job's a carrot
  2. I can honestly say I've never punched someone in the face just because they gave me a little scare.
  3. I finish Friday and go back on the 7th of Jan
  4. You could look at it as £64 being a rip off. However, that's very likely to be an admin charge of £30 which just leaves £34 as the cost for the mod which is entirely reasonable IMHO. Also, other specialist insurers can often be more expensive for a stock or very lightly modded car, and you may not be any better off changing at the end of the year. My current insurer (Sky) is more expensive than Admiral, however it's a more comprehensive policy. I think that paying the extra is worth it, as I can guarantee that with SW if you have an accident your exhaust isn't covered like-for-like and they'll replace with an OEM one again.
  5. Would it be worth pointing out that PayPal is actually a business, and does need to make money somewhere down the line? If you're meeting up with the guy then take cash. I know you said they won't take a bank transfer, but have you asked them why not? It makes life so much easier and the money is ther instantly. I cannot think of a single reason not to use a bank transfer, especially if you want to avoid PP fees.
  6. Nah, they're rubbish. Good spec too, PSE and the very rare full red rear light cluster option. Nice colour combo, too.
  7. If it's taxed, it must be insured. If you SORN it and take it off the road you're fine. As it stands, you can be fined. I believe your car can also be taken away, how likely that is in a week though I don't. For the sake of 1.5 tanks of fuel, I'd insure it. What happens if someone comes round and nicks it, or smashes it up?

    Tyres Compounds

Let's start at the start here. First off, compound or hard sidewalls have nothing to do with the juddering at full lock, that's down to the Ackermann Principle. It's perfectly normal and will happen with any tyre you put on. Nitrogen is fine to fill with mbut you need to remove ALL air first for it to be any good. Very few places can do this. I tried it for a while and I found it helped with the tyre keeping pressure over a longer period of time, but very little else. I only ever fill with normal air now. For good wear, look towards the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports. Pricey but the best non-track performance tyre available bar none right now. Otherwise it's the good ol' RE050A for good wear.
  9. I just looked this up, did you know that footballers have only won it five times? Moore, Gazza, Owen, Becks and Giggs. There's an equal number of cricketers and boxers (although Henry Cooper won it twice), cycling is now only one behind with four winners, F1 has six wins although only over four different people. Athletics wins by miles with a whopping seventeen winners!
  10. Didn't realise you were there matey! My car was right at the end of the grid on the left as you drove in, parked next to a gorgeous old XJ 4L.
  11. No personality needed, Davis and Mansell have won it
  12. I have his name, address and email. I've sent him emails asking for Zedley to be returned and I will pay for postage as per the first page of this thread that everyone agreed to. I've heard nowt from him. It's a 3 hour drive from me, but if anyone is local to the Stafford area and would like to pop in and grab Zedley for me that would be great.
  13. I didn't do it the pro way
  14. Espuma Revolution and a really long wheel brush. You'll also want a Swissvax-style brush to do the tricky bits. Makes cleaning the wheels a breeze.
  15. http://www.therpf.com/f9/iron-man-colors-automotive-paint-match-120253/ Any good? Not sure how accurate you want to be.
  16. Rosso Corsa is a lovely car, but I don't have a Ferrari, so why try to imitate? Only teasing fella Last one for me, first one is too bright and the second looks a little flat.
  17. That's what I did when I transferred PCs, as long as it's the folder containing the actual media files you'll be fine.
  18. They're not selling because no-one is buying. Even the £3K they knocked off in the summer did nothing for sales. It's got nothing to do with the BRZ (even Subaru only expect to shift a few hundred a year atm), it's because no-one wants a £30K four seater with typical Jap interior that does such awful MPG and has a high CO2 output when you can get a BMW for the same price with the same performance. Plus the hatch is ugly. Such a shame though, but I can understand the business reasons behind it.
  19. I'd match the Kumhos.
  20. Flippin' hell that's the creepiest smiley I've ever seen!
