  1. Ah, Spa in the snow, I now know it well! You used a different pit entry/exit than I did (endurance instead of F1 I think), any reason why? What did you think of the track as a whole? And if you noticed, just wondering what your max speed before braking was on the Kemmel straight? Trying to get an idea of how how our Impreza might compare with a sorted Zed 'tis all
  2. Lol looks like me and Paddy read it the same way
  3. I read the second one as semen Get the first one but get a different first two digits, that way she can transfer it to her next car without looking foolish if it's not another V6
  4. Click the 'Toggle Editing' button (the very first icon on the bar, looks like a little grey lightswitch).
  5. I had no idea you lent your car out, Dave.
  6. I nearly did
  7. Fancy a giggle? Watch me panic when the bonnet pops open! NSFW due to language
  8. I hate dogdy vavles. Hobbirle things.
  9. Ouch, that mint green one looks expensive. I don't wish bad luck on anyone, regardless of what they do to their car, but I doubt he'd have had an issue if he was running sensible wheels and tyres. *thump* That's me landing, after I finished jumping to conclusions.
  10. Awful news, this forum and the world as a whole will be a quieter and more rubbish place without him.
  11. Brilliant
  12. I always use cruise whenever on a motorway or DC. Just makes for an easier drive.
  13. Low? Yes. It'll scrape over every single ripple in the road. Nice colour? Yes. Smooth? Not entirely sure what you mean by that, as I can definitely see some edges on the car. Simple? Yes, I agree that the person who thought those wheels and tyres do anything other than look stupid must've been. Mint? Nope, definitely not green. Can't quite tell from here whether it tastes fresh when licking it or not. Maybe the windows are though? Sam said it best. It looks ridiculous, never mind that as a car with a basic function to be able to move, it completely fails on that task. At least, without having to plan your route so that you only drive on glass, or are sitting on some bubble wrap so that your teeth aren't shaken to bits. Keyser has it spot-on with his wheel setup, it does looks and performance in equal measure
  14. That is a f*cking abortion. Well, apart from the colour. That's quite nice.
  15. Car will be fine, brakes will cope with that kind of temp change all day unless you've just done a 150mph to standstill stop just before the ford I don't go through anything that's higher than the bottom of the door.
  16. Slicks are usually only allowed as long as you have rollover protection. In the case of a coupe, it's built into the car so you'll be fine (the rule is more there for Caterhams without a cage). Personally I've never run slicks myself so can't comment too much, however depending on your track day experience I would give very serious thought before using them. Yes, you will get a hellish amount of grip with them, but as Amstrange1 says above you need to have a good understanding of how they feel and how important warming them up and cooling them down are. They will also allow you to put far more lateral load into your suspension parts as you correctly assume, and whilst I don't feel there's any particular weakpoints in the Zed's suspension that shouldn't be able to cope quite happily with that, it's just worth bearing in mind. A road car on 888s will be more than quick enough to be fun at Oulton, and even doing it on ditchfinders will be fine and arguably more fun (I've got Event tyres on my MX-5, and it was hysterical there in October). I wouldn't bother putting slicks on unless it's something you really want to try. Also, it's T-Y-R-E-S.
  17. No probs, put some pics up when it's all fitted
  18. KILL THEM WITH FIRE
  19. That's shitty then. Sorry to break it to you.
  20. Second Sticky at the top of the forum tells you all you need to know.
  21. Can't see any problem with it. Why would there be? Sticking a Nismo badge on if you had no Nismo bits would be shitty, but just putting genuine Nismo bits on?no problem at all, and better that that cheapy eBay crap or similar. Very odd question.
  22. I'm no expert at all, but surely if you wired up the stock seat heater switch so that both terminals supplied power to the same cable, then it would be fine? As in: Power comes into A Power can then go to B or C Just wire the same output cable to both B & C so that either way you hit the switch, exactly the same result happens. No?
  23. Personally I'm not in favour of posting up interesting eBay links as, like the OP says, all it does is make sure that no-one gets a bargain. The only exception I can see is if someone has made a Wanted thread for a specific part, at least that way you know you're directly helping a fellow member out.
  24. Which is what the s172 is for, which could still be sent out to the RK.
  25. Yes, the key here is 2 officers. Pete Only in Scotland, not in England or Wales. See my post above for what they need south of that border.
