  1. To some extent I agree, but then I'm also glad that there were a lot of people watching and filming the bombs, and especially the aftermath. That kind of stuff can be both crucial to the investigation, as well watching how the emergency services (amongst others) react and how it could be improved next time. For all the folks that say that filming this kind of stuff is morbid and grisly, we're also fortunate that we live in an age where it's possible to record this, As far as the media coverage goes, I'd rather see hours of this than headline news consisting of a celebrity falling out of a club or whatnot. The point of a terror attack is to cause maximum disruption and casualties with minimum effort, and use that to disrupt the lives of the general public who then live in fear. Even if there was only one small piece of footage that only the headline news used on the hour, you cannot stop the internet with something like this and that would be just as widely seen as the mainstream news outlets.Terrorism has been going on for years (and always will), the fact we have more media to cover it now doesn't make a difference to events like this. Perhaps to the Batman shooting, but not things like this. I caveat that by saying we have no idea if this was genuine terrorism as we expect it to be by a group, or just one nutter with a grudge.

    Read this??

Been discussed a bit over on SELOC, although not that particular car. Basically the £10K goes into a saving scheme of some kind (whatever the dealer wants to do with it, really) and they tell you that in X years time it'll have made another £10K and you'll be able to pay off the rest of the finance in one hit. Never going to happen, and you'll end up in a situation where you'll suddenly have to find that great big lump sum or hand the car back AND lose your original £10K. Anyone daft enough to fall for it almost deserves it, IMHO.
  3. Whoops Easy job to get fixed, budget around £50 I'd say.
  4. On the other hand, it's a free bit of weight loss for just a littel bit of effort. I did it on the MX5, and I'm very glad I did. It makes the car feel a bit more 'racecar' too which gets you in the right frame of mind when driving it IYSWIM. If it's only a track car, I say go for it
  5. Heh, must be more frustrating for you than me fella!
  6. Where's the bloody pictures??!!

Ah okay, I didn't realise the interior wasn't like that as stock, good job
  8. If you need to ask, then don't do it. Questionable taste aside, anything like that is asking for trouble. Would I personally find a pair of boobies (real or cartoon) on a sticker on a car offensive? No. Would I reasonably expect a member of the public to find it offensive? Yes I would, and for that reason I think it's a very bad idea.
  9. It's the same song. Well, it's not, but it's exactly the same structure: Punchy repeated verse, breakdown pre-chorus, then the music stops briefly before the chorus kicks in. I love Gangnam Style as much as the next one, but this is utter shite.

Apologies for the noob question as I don't know that much about these cars, but apart from the stereo and a Nismo badge on the front what have you done to it?
  11. If you're really after accuracy, the only place I'd trust is Surrey Rolling Road. Charlie prides himself on stuff like that, and whilst even he will admit where a dyno can fail, he'll be closer than anyone to the 'true' figure.
  12. It's the dyno. Go somewhere else next time if the figures really matter to you. DE hits 213, HR hits 219, sounds close enough to be correct in comparison.
  13. Except it partly is. It's why we love Webber but hate Schumacher.
  14. It used to be funny. How he's acting like a spoilt child. How is it funny when someone asks him a question that you'd quite like an answer to, but he just shrugs his shoulders and mumbles something crap and sulky? The least he could do is attempt to give an answer to the watching fans. I don't care he's grumpy when driving, I totally get that, but not when he's doing interviews.
  15. Kimi is starting to irritate me. The whole Mr Miserable thing just isn't funny any more.
  16. Just wait for the Bosch ones, or order them some place else.
  17. Probably just the rollers in question. Don't worry about it, as long as it feels as quick as it should then that's all that matters. Dyno numbers are good for willy waving and using as a baseline comparison before mods, nowt else.
  18. There's a silver car at the bottom of the picture parked on the kerb as well, tut tut.
  19. Bosch blades are excellent, I use them on all vehicles now. Even better than the PIAA normal wipers I used for years, which is saying something. Autobulbs direct are about the cheapest and most reliable supplier these days, I use them when Costco don't have the correct sizes in.
  20. I would just be happy with 5 minutes Twice? That includes the cigarette afterwards, too.
  21. Nope, nothing. Supporting evidence is nice but not needed. You only need two types of evidence (copper or equipment) in bonnie Scotland. Sorry for snapping, I'm tired and hungover
  22. They don't need calibrated equipment! Argh! They merely need to form an opinion of excess speed. Doesn't matter if they're in a trafpol car, their own car or a fricking cable car. On duty, off duty or duty free, no difference.
  23. Booooooooooo You know I'm right though. If there was a market for it, it would've been made years ago.
  24. Wtf? Have I missed something?
