  1. The voice side is the thing I'm looking forward to the most. Not necessarily for me, but if it can work with Sky and other media sources it would make the whole system much friendlier for the other half to use. Project Spark is capable of motion capture via Kinect, now that really is something promising.
  2. Nope, just checked: It was confirmed on Aug 13th. They said back in May that you could turn it off, but it wasn't confirmed you could unplug it until then. Sauce
  3. Only in the sense that they would then charge people for track cars, which could kill the industry dead here. I would suggest this is one thing we're better off keeping quiet about
  4. Clio RS 182. Genuinely I've never driven a more fun car in my life, and I suspect I never will. I've driven better cars, but more fun? Nope.
  5. You don't, it was confirmed last week.
  6. That's a good year away from launch at least. You'll still be up to your eyeballs in nappies then

    2014 Golf R...

Dull as ditchwater. And £30K+! Still, at least you can turn the TCS off on this one. That's something at least, and if the Haldex *spit* controller can be programmed correctly for more RWD-style hooning, it could actually be a great car. Could. Will still look like a 1.4 diesel though.
  8. Even a VXR220 running 260bhp won't break 4.5secs unless you want to destroy the drivetrain. Been there, tried that, on 048s too so tyres not the limiting issue.
  9. Pffft, my 18 year old rust bucket was more than a match for your shiny car
  10. As a rule, 4WD > FWD > RWD, but then you have 4WD > FF > RR > MR > FR as well. All about where the weight is in relation to the power. That said, winter tyres throw everything out of the window. The Impreza on RE070s was a disaster in the snow, but in a fun way. The same car on winters would've been superb.

  12. Nope. Not with how much the GTR now costs and the bland interior, this is still a much more exciting car. So ner.
  13. OH HAI Which MR2? SW20? I used to have a ZZW30, loved it.
  14. Oh be quiet. It's a car, and a bloody good one at that. Stereotypes are just pathetic.
  15. PMSL They're very good cars, very good indeed. The engine is one of the all time greats, the chassis very exploitable and the overall package very cohesive. Interior is a bit dull but functional, and I'd avoid one with the carbon fibre bits as they look quite naff. Be aware of VANOS issues and a good service history is a must, but other than that I can't fault them. They are quicker than a Zed all other things being equal, but they don't feel that much quicker.

Be careful with running half-cages: Depending on where the bar sits and how close it is to your head, you may end up in the situation where you need to wear a helmet every time you drive just in case. It was something I had to look at myself very carefully with the MX5.
  17. If they do, I'll buy one. That's a promise. But they won't. So I won't.
  18. Why 4WD? Unless you live in the proper sticks, then a cheapy FWD hatch on winter tyres will be equally as effective. Having owned an Impreza recently, I can promise you they're not as good in the snow as you would hope!
  19. @Lexx:
  20. If it's power you want, then grab the revup airbox or just the inlet trumpet and retrofit to yours) and pop a decent panel filter into it.
  21. Unless you have an Uprev or other ECU fitted, it will make zero difference. Stick with what you have, even if it was tuned for it you're talking the best part of 1 or 2 hp extra. For the cost of the Typhoon, it's not worth it IMHO. Put that money towards an Uprev, much better value.
  22. All pre-orders now come with a free copy of FIFA14 Not my cup of tea really, but I won't pass up a free game.
  23. Yup. http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=27942 £61.5K, but that's with the Z51 pack as standard. There is no better performance bargain available in the UK today.
  24. I think the Zed is quite lucky in that aspect, it's got a very wide cabin and I'm not aware of any seats that simply wouldn't fit full stop. You may need the correct runners, but again there's plenty of options there. Safety regs is a good one, I certainly wouldn't remotely consider buying anything that isn't a genuine seat: For example, eBay is littered with Bride knock-offs.
