  1. You can get them for a few quid from eBay amongst others.
  2. 10mm on the stick is a lot, like around half a litre-ish. Definitely drain it, and don't drive it hard until you do (pootling around under 3k rpm should be fine).

    XKR.... Lovely

Is the X150 not a completely different car though? Chassis and everything?

You mean the current 59 year-old Ian Callum? He started with Jag in 1999.

It's a classic fastback shape. I don't think it looks remotely modern, but it's definitely got some great lines.
  6. Lucky man.

Nitrons and Ohlins are the best of the best. They will give you the best of everything: Quality, control, comfort. If you can stomach the price, then go for it.
  8. You don't need a solicitor. Take the car back, give them the keys and a letter formally rejecting the car. Take a copy for yourself too, and hopefully they'll give you your refund. If they refuse, file a claim under the small claims procedure online.
  9. Could've given them away on here? Irrelevant now though, I guess.

    tyres?

Like I said, make your own mind up whether the risk is worth the gain.

    tyres?

No, not really. Read the sticky and make your own mind up though.
  12. Lol at the 'Complimentary, Not For Resale' stamped all over them and you're trying to flog them! Seriously dude, pass the karma on and give them to a mate or something.
  13. Genuinely, I'm not sure I'd bother. They have better things to do than studying CCTV looking for a driver who has scuffed another's bumper, maybe without realising, and given the cuts to the police they probably don't have the manpower even if they had the inclination. Not saying that I like the situation, but that's the reality. You could try bugging them every day to ask them how they're getting on, and they may do something just to get rid of you, but a full on complaint? Not worth it, as it won't be against a specific officer so will be ignored.
  14. If economy doesn't matter then I'd get the petrol, if it does then the diesel is the next best thing.
  15. Do you need a hug? If that hug comes with a few thousand pounds of cash, then I'd frickin love a hug!
  16. Some one would no doubt try, for that 'uber-stretched' look!
  17. Whatever you do, never ever NEVER input the total cost of what you've spent on a car into excel. You'll cry for hours
  18. Agreed. no iDrive would be a deal breaker. Personally if I was considering an E92 I would also consider a V8 an essential, but that's just me
  19. By who? Even Falken themselves describe the 914 as an economy tyre! The 452s have sloppy sidewalls, vague feedback, and melt as soon as you give them any stick. 453s are, by all accounts, far superior, and probably worth a punt right now seeing as how the VUS are out of production.
  20. Check the sills. Then check them again. Then again.
  21. Perfect, apart from the rust. There WILL be rust, promise! Mk1 is a better track car as it's lighter, but that's a great buy for the money. Just budget another £500 for rust repairs, just in case.
  22. Parked like a weapons grade bellend, more like.
  23. In that case, I'd run them down to the nearest tip and put something decent on Seriously, they're shopping trolley tyres, even the 452s which I hate would be an improvement.
