  1. If mine only costs me that, I'll consider it a bargain! Console plus half a dozen games plus controller plus charging pack plus steering wheel if they can get me one... Ouch.
  2. Spoke to my local Game shop earlier. I'm off down there tomorrow to finalise my Xbone pre-order. Going to take all my 360 games that I'm never going to play ever again with me and chop them in, even if I only get a couple of quid for them. Apparently you can't pay for the console itself yet, only two days beforehand, but everything else can be sorted and done, including games and accessories. It's going to cost me an absolute fortune
  3. Lower profile tyres don't equal better handling. You lose weight and gain turn-in response but lose feedback, and you also end up with a harder ride that can cause the car to move around unexpectedly on poor roads. Whether those downsides are offset by being able to run better tyres (in terms of grip, feedback and cost) is up to the individual.
  4. This won't be a 918/P1/LF rival, they're extreme hypercars. This will be another shot across the bow of the 911 Turbo, as well as the new baby McLaren and oft-wished-for baby Ferrari. I guessed at 2000 kgs, but batteries are ridiculously heavy and that's roughly the weight of them in the aforementioned hypercars with roughly the same power output from their hybrid systems. Assuming the new GT-R will still have a big engine and 4WD, I can't see them removing 200kg of weight from elsewhere in the car to compensate. Mizuno-san has already said that he wanted the GT-R to be heavy as it settles down better on the road, so clearly he's happy with a bloater of a car and just chucking more power and technology at it. Whilst I'm glad that stuff like that exists, for me that's not the way forward.
  5. Imagine if they spent all that dev money on making the car lighter, rather than adding weight. A 1500kg , 550bhp GT-R would be far more interesting than a 2000kg, 700bhp one. Make it smaller and lighter please, stop chasing headline figures.
  6. Yeah, me too. I'm a boyhood Leeds fan, but due to the distances involved in travelling I rarely get a chance to see them anymore, so I find myself supporting my local team (Braintree Town) for more these days. It's Conference level football so the quality is pretty dire, and the facilities are awful, but it's just as passionate there as at any Leeds game I've ever been to. I'll happily stick on any Prem or LaLiga game if it's on the telly and watch it, and especially the CL games regardless of who's playing. I may not be as passionate about football as I used to be, but I'm watching more of it and enjoying it more as a result. Except for England. I cannot bring myself to watch England games, as the standard there is just so poor and dull to watch,
  7. DPD are the best courier firm bar none. For the end user, the tracking is utterly superb. Anyone who sends via MyHermes clearly has never received a parcel from them. Utter gash. Offered a choice, I'd rather pay extra for Parcelforce or DPD than I would use someone cheap.
  8. It's not that, it's more that there's no games available from either platform that offers anything remotely new, and it's hard to get excited about stuff that we've all seen a thousand times before. I'm excited about a new gadget, but not about the games.
  9. Choosing to put 40 profile on is not cutting corners, if the choice is made for the right reasons. Would you seriously rather run 040s in OEM spec than MPSS in 40 profile?
  10. thats some tall monitor u have I'm not an expert so could be wrong but since it's vertical lines wouldn't it be wide? Along the corridor, up the stairs.
  11. Pix of your display unit plz matey, sounds cool as
  12. Porsches are crap and owned by tossers
  13. Alan Devonshire is our manager. Really nice guy too, very down to earth but by god does he have a voice on him when he wants!
  14. I don't believe for one second that the doctor ran through the five questions and then said "Yup, he's good to go!". Years of medical training plus a healthy desire to keep his licence would've meant that he would've assessed the patient properly before making a decision. I think to assume he only did the five questions thing does the doctor a grave disservice.
  15. It's not the Unions themselves though, it's the namby-pamby do-gooders looking to justify their existence. Again, I ask them why they would know any better than Loris and the doctor on the scene at the time of the incident.
  16. Forgive me, but is this not bloody obvious when you look at it? There's nothing hidden, nothing to catch you out, you can see the bracketry and bolts without any fuss. I really, really cannot see how any one would need a guide for this. Especially not if you haven't even attempted it yet.
  17. Also, I've never ever used the word 'folly' in its correct usage on an internet forum before. Huzzah for me!
  18. I can see both sides on this one tbh. Dropping a profile will make no difference to the car in terms of maintenance, on the caveat that your particular car is okay with it regarding TCS. Speedo & mileage will be affected, but not by anywhere near as much as I would consider worthy of note. To ignore that completely though would be folly. Many people run 19" and even 20" wheels. These do not run stock tyre sizes and are again fractions out over the rolling radius, but will cause no further issues. I would rather run 40 profile MPSS than 45 profile 040s. One may be the correct OEM tyre choice, but that doesn't make it the best choice. Tyre choice should be made on many parameters, but sticking rigidly with the OEM size is not one I would consider to be paramount*. *Not forgetting the TCS caveat, of course.
  19. Nice, but used AMV8 over that for me. Wheels on the red one are vile!
  20. I remember that car from previous PHSS, it's utterly stunning. He gets massive Man Points.
  21. Trust me, they will. I reckon you'll end up around the low 500s, if not the 400s by the time Sunday comes.
  22. Yup, no.79 on the list Shame they're not doing the drift challenge this time, I was looking forward to claiming top spot after coming second last time
