  1. Set the springs and dampers up the same both sides. You could do a full setup with a set of weights on the seat to simulate your weight, but you'd really want to do that in conjunction with a full geo. I'm guessing that's already been done so need to worry about that any more, but remember that adjusting the ride height from this point can have massive effects on the camber so you may need another alignment if you decide to raise or lower the car again.
  2. Abbey MS, RS Tuning, Horsham Dev... Pick the closest
  3. Nope, not a sausage. ECU will throttle back performance to account for it. Uprev time for you!
  4. My review of all bits here might be of interest /thread_hijack
  5. Any fuel that meets BS7800 will be fine. No app that I know of for everything, but it's not hard to figure out which pump is super and which isn't. Just keep a bottle of octane booster in the boot in case you ever get caught out (like in the wilderness in the highlands).
  6. @Kyle I did it before anything else, but only did ARBs afterwards suspension-wise. Bracing made the most difference, ARBs gave me more adjustability allowing for finer control. I also did bits of the bracing at a time, the rear bar was a hoot as it made the rear end very lively
  7. Latter are better, but that's not saying much.
  8. Summit Bracing is amazing, made a massive difference to mine. That whole setup you've got there can't have been cheap, but I bet that's worth every penny. Great choice of bits too
  9. It's not fake on the BRZ86, it's a proper pipe running from intake to the a-pillar. It's just too over done IMHO, so loud it actually sounds fake.
  10. Which is why most owners have the OPC warranty, available on cars up to 10 years old. £1k a year, give or take.
  11. True, but http://www.fantasyracers.com is free First link I found in Google, no idea if it's any good! Good idea though, might be fun if a few of us do it
  12. Dafuq I'm not paying £10 to enter that!
  13. Much less percentage, much higher cost. 5% and £8K is nearer the money. High mileage is better than low.
  14. Worst thing they did was pump the intake sound into the interior. Just sounds so false, and so harsh at high revs.
  15. RX8 engine are designed to wear the tips out, and use oil. That's how they work. Approx 5% of M96/97 engines suffer from IMS failure, scored bores etc.
  16. My 911 is mechanically very similar, and my brother owns a CR which I've driven loads. Anything particular you want to know?
  17. Great idea on the sticker mate, looks brilliant Car wouldn't gain horsepower, but you could feel like you have due to less crap in the block so less frictional losses. Same effect as lightweight flywheel.
  18. Proper dB meter with the correct weighting (A, isn't it?), at 0.5M and 45deg from tip at 3/4 max RPM.
  19. Cayman servicing is the same price as the Zed. http://porscheowners...icing/?model=55 Bearing in mind that's once every two years/20K miles. Parts are comparable on costs, much better on fuel. How much more can a good 987 lose? Europa is a good car, but would you consider an Elise as an every day car? I owned one, and loved it, and I wouldn't. Europa is really not that much better. 6-series is ace. Loved the M6, never driven a common or garden one though. Supra = chav.
  20. Now imagine what happens when you have an issue with them and need to get them taken back... Take the hint, they don't want your business so don't give it to them.
  21. Oh god I'd never noticed that, now it annoys me too I've got massive OCD issues over the daftest of things, I guess I'd better add this to my list now!
  22. You really have to be a very special kind of special to want this. Jesus titty f*cking christ.
  23. Stock cat and y-pipe + K1 was coming out at 104dB. I cannot believe this would be any quieter. If you have a loud exhaust, you have a duty to quieten it down before going near a track for the sake of us all.
