  1. 197 was criticised for gear ratios above all, very buzzy. Still a great car, but the 200 is much improved. Must admit, I'd have a 182 over a 197 as well.
  2. Probably cheaper to do 12mths and then alter.
  3. Hi! There's a few of us in Essex now
  4. Read the code, use the pedal dance in the FAQs. Could be anything.
  5. Anyone driven one? Are they any good?
  6. None.
  7. Disagree, stock V8 on that car sounds great, as did the straight-six before it at full chat. Stock Impreza sounds good, so does BRZ86, Exige V6, Focus RS etc.
  8. It's really not, not in the grand scheme of things. It's muted and a bit thrashy, even more so in the 370, which is why we all buy exhausts and intakes for it.
  9. Never heard the 12 on the 8-series, bet it sounds lovely.
  10. How do you know the work will be done properly? They might not do a better job than you can Give it a go, I reckon.
  11. Agreed. Think Arran is being a bit optimistic with adding the 350Z in as best sounding V6 though
  12. That is the most terrifying thing I've seen for a LONG time.
  13. I'm not having a go mate, you've held your hand up pretty quick and I respect you for that: Many wouldn't. Yes, we take our cars to track to push them, but it's quite clear neither you, the car or the track were ready for that, so you should've eased off. Instead, the red mist came down and you were lucky to walk away, as Jetpilot says that's a dangerous corner at the best of times. Was that your first track experience?
  14. Perhaps it was harsh, but what if he'd taken someone else out because neither him nor the car were prepared for the track? It's silly things like that that can cause serious accidents on track, and it only takes a second for something like that to happen. If you know you're on crap tyres, drive accordingly. If you've never driven there before, drive accordingly. If it's started hammering it down, drive accordingly. That's three basic mistakes he made, and I would suggest it was pure luck that neither he nor the car came off worse, as well as only involving himself.
  15. I don't get the love for the Audi V10, I really don't. It sounds great on the Lambo, and it's great on the R8 with a different exhaust, but that advert makes it sound incredibly anodyne.
  16. Should be little to no difference at all. Perhaps the best way would be to ask your insurer though, they would know better than anyone else on here
  17. Closest racing for years, no idea what everyone's complaining about.
  18. In that case sir, you are a complete idiot and got exactly what you deserved On the upside, you've not blamed anything other than yourself and you didn't take anyone else out with you. Surely you must've realised that it was going to be slippy as anything?!
  19. Bit late now lesson learnt lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So come on then, what happened? How many laps, cars in front/behind, what corner, what did the car do etc?
  20. Well, I'd want more info before I could comment properly, but as a rule if you're not 100% sure of you or your car you shouldn't be on track. End of.
  21. Utterly ridiculous.
  22. Aston V12 in the 2009 LMP1 car. Anyone who says otherwise is a liar, or has never heard it in the flesh. V10 CGT. No contest. V8 I'll go with either the one in the 430 Scud above 4k rpm, or the Corvette C6.R. V6... Dunno. Probably an Alfa.
  23. If you believe that, then I have to say you're a bit naive mate. Accident will be defined as anything which causes damage to the vehicle, another vehicle, or any other object or person as an educated guess. That definitely included dings and scrapes, but not bumper chips (although I assume that was a facetious addition). You should've informed them in Feb, so this may well now bit you in the arse as they'll chase you for increased premium. Sometimes, it's ALWAYS worth telling your insurers, and sucking it up. We all make mistakes sometimes, no shame in that.
  24. That wouldn't be admitting any kind of liability. Courts wouldn't view that as it either, unless there was a letter saying that they accepted full liability for it, which I'm guessing there wasn't. The bus company will say it's an apology for holding the traffic up due to a malfunction with the bus, and that DT should still not have proceeded as there was not enough room.
  25. They'll be fine with it. Unless you've got the money to cough up to the letter, then you need to speak to them. At the end of the day though you were in the wrong, as the bus was stationary and you were moving so this will be an at-fault claim. What do you think will be less, a higher premium next year or the hundreds of pounds the bus company want? Your call.
