  1. Hi Grandby! I'll just list some questions as I think of them, if that's okay? How much stiffer (roughly) is the Pedders suspension than stock? Any reason you went for the Extreme over the other Pedders options? Brakes upgrade a must-do? Road use only. Do they have cruise control? Any traction control? Is it obtrusive? Fully switchable? Is the water ingress to the front arms, & rust because of, common? When you get to 600bhp, does it overwhelm the chassis a bit? Or still well within comfort limits? Any chance of a photo of the boot? As in the space, since you've got the version with the smaller one. Stock seats offer much support on the shoulders? Do you have to do much in the way of upkeep with regards to the SC conversion? Thanks!
  2. Didn't realise Lexx had a Monaro as well, I only remembered the VXR8. Dunks, that's pretty much the spec I was looking at, how did it compare to the Zed on the move? Thinking specifically in terms of the suspension, the ride, the turn in, the balance?
  3. So yeah, as per the title really. Any one here a previous owner of a Monaro (either CV8 or VXR, any year) and care to share any tips on the experience? Good or bad, and comparisons to the Zed would be very helpful.
  4. Oh no, it does absolutely, just a lot easier to prove down the line. Technically they're correct: It's a used car and shouldn't be perfect unless you're paying top, top money. That said, I'd have done the exact same as you (and have done on all my cars) so they should stand by their word. A repair shouldn't just wipe off, no reasonable person would expect that.
  5. Not acceptable. Did you get the details of the proposed repair work in writing? i.e. what was going to be done to the car before pickup?
  6. GLOL
  7. I'm just happy I got to legitimately use the word niggardly.
  8. I can see why people like it. I don't.
  9. I don't drive a car any differently regardless of whether it's my own, someone else's, a POS or worth a fortune when I'm on track. I have no idea if that's a good thing or not, tbh.
  10. Fair dos. I didn't bother when I ran the MR2 (first one), only bothered with the VXR because it came free with my road insurance, ditto with the Zed as it transferred over, and then only did one day with the 911 before I swapped insurer. After seeing some pretty horrendous incidents, and realising I might have been pushing my luck a bit, I now only drive cars I can afford to bin, or I'd only do a day if I had insurance. It's very easy to do £20K+ worth of damage to a Porker...! It only takes one idiot, or one slight mechanical failure, or one dodgy turn, and you could kill a Zed easy. Fair play if you've got the balls/cash to track it without, sadly these days I have neither.
  11. Do you bother with insurance?
  12. Massive, massive difference. You'll be quicker in a straight line, more agile round corners, reduced braking distances, and a less firm ride.
  13. I wonder if the debug menu thing still works?
  14. That's handy info, nice one I don't understand the whole clearing the MAC address issue though: I thought that each piece of kit had a MAC address that couldn't be changed?
  15. Don't tweet, speak to the online support, they'll sort for you there and then.
  16. Not too dissimilar actually, and I hadn't noticed. I love the Corvette, but the jutting angles of the gaping maw on the FLF are jarring to my eye.
  17. If it didn't look quite so 'challenging', I'd be far more tempted.
  18. Blimey, one year ago today. That went by quick. Still want to do it all over again, someday.
  19. I can't stop shooting the unemployed and the gingers
  20. Some of them will be, definitely. It's the smart move really, depreciation will be minimal on these (if any), so why not finance?
  21. There's no hard and fast rule. The guys in the Ferrari section on PH were discussing this, and there's some folks that have had the collection (GTO, 40, 50 and Enzo) and still not got one, but others have just bought a 458 and an F12 and got in there. It's what you bring to the party in terms of ownership.
  22. I wouldn't say that, it was always designed and marketed as a GTA-style game that just happened to be about hacking rather than drugs and guns.
  23. One button to hack normal things like phones, pipe system for the complex computers. Hacking is the theme, but it's not the ethos.
  24. I'd have said a Fezza was much more pretentious than any Porsche, this side of a gold wrapped Cayenne.
  25. You need to be a bit of a pretentious prat, I think.
