  1. Well, I noticed Dave's posting spree too, but I found it funny more than anything.
  2. I think it's nice that people make the effort to say hello. I could probably do so some more, if I'm honest.
  3. Nah, he was good as gold, like I say gave me space and everything. What irritated me was that no other driver was prepared to overtake him, despite them overtaking other vehicles and then stopping once they saw the blue lights on top.
  4. Who?
  5. I know, awful isn't it? I'm a proper cad.

Mine's 5.1 too, with a digital TV tuner
  7. Yup, pretty much left an entire carriageway gawping at my driving. They were speechless at the manoeuvre I pulled off, in full view of everyone. What did I do? Well, it was like this: I DARED TO OVERTAKE A COPPER!!! I know, shocking. He was doing 54 in a 60, so I overtook the car behind him then accelerated up to an incredible 63 and cruised past. Copper moved over to give me the room, TED was minimal, everyone was happy. Well, apart from the queue of drivers behind who wouldn't dare to overtake a batternburg estate. Why are people so terrified of performing perfectly safe and legal manoeuvres? Bugs the hell out of me.

Makes sense, mine's at 128 too. I can tell the difference between the two in the 911, but it's so minor that I figure I'd rather have all the music on there than some at a high bit rate.

I don't bother with lossless in the cars, stereo quality isn't worth it.
  11. HOORAY
  12. Step 2. Buy him a bicycle instead
  13. Stu could not be more helpful here. If you cannot follow his instructions, I suggest trying something simpler first, like tying shoelaces.
  14. What url box are you talking about? Just copy the text from the direct link or forum image, and paste it straight into the reply box here.
  15. Legionnaires Disease is caused by bacteria that thrive in water between 20c and 45c, and dispersed as an aerosol for inhalation. Unless you're using a bucket of stagnant water with a fan blowing over it as your aircon, you should be fine
  16. Definitely you. Quote Gixxer's reply to see how it's done.
  17. None at all, assuming it is identical and none of the connectors are damaged. Do disconnect the battery first before doing anything with airbags, just in case. Oh, and leave the nut on the thread a couple of turns whilst you try to wiggle the wheel free from the column: If you don't, you'll end up using so much force it'll come off suddenly and smash you in the face. /VOE
  18. Yup, it's not unheard of. Tbh it makes sense, but they do risk losing trade because of it. That may be trade they don't want due to the higher risk, of course!

    Water leak

THE SEA IS LEAKING FROM YOUR CAR or it may be the aircon
  20. That's all that matters, top marks for quality too matey
  21. Not keen on the plenum, sorry bud. Too much orange in there now for me. Carbon covers look nice though
  22. I guess assuming people are sensible is probably asking too much. Apologies.
  23. If they need that kind of help, then phone scams are the least of their worries I would imagine. Even my nan at the age of 86 is aware of stuff like this. Hell, she's even quite happy using her netbook to Skype, although the iPhone we got her has her beaten!
  24. Elderly people aren't stupid. A bit senile I guess, but not stupid.
