  1. ^^^ As above, anything like that will do. Just get one from the big two (Nikon or Canon) and you won't go far wrong. DSLR is miles overkill for simple shot. Tbh most smartphones have decent enough cameras these days, certainly the flagship Samsung/LG/Apple ones.
  2. Sorry, wasn't saying that anyone here in particular had said that Vettel was a bad driver. He's better than Ricciardo, of that I'm sure, it's just that he's struggling to adjust his driving style to the car more than most this year. That doesn't make him worse than DR, it's just that he prefers a particular kind of setup which the rules don't allow this year. No different from any other driver on the grid in that respect. I still say that Lewis, Alonso and Vettel are the three best drivers on the grid by some margin.
  3. Because pretty.
  4. It will never get better, and will at some point leave you stranded.
  5. Hamilton had a dreadful season a few years back with McLaren, when he was pretty much shoving Massa off the track at every race. Sometimes it happens that you have a bad season, it doesn't necessarily suddenly make you a bad driver. I don't care how good the car is, you simply don't become a four time WDC without being really a bit special. If it was that easy, then Webber and Barrichello would have WDCs to their names too.
  6. Two things: 1. Bulletmagent was taking the p*ss. That you didn't realise that is actually a full-on facepalm moment. 2. I was being realistic, not disrespectful. What is this, Sicily?! Converting a 350Z to have four seats is a bloody stupid idea, and anyone who attempts it without massive re-engineering of the entire structure is also bloody stupid. Hope that clarifies matters.
  7. Really? They're quite stand-offish with me.
  8. That's not a fair comparison Steve. You can tell when a cyclist jumps a red light in the exact same way as you can when a driver jumps a red light. Using your comparison, you can still tell if a car is speeding using the mobile phone if you film it and then compare landmarks: That's how the CPS do it, albeit they don't usually have to rely on mobile phones. I can prove very easily that a driver is ignoring road signs telling them to stop or give way, not wearing a seat belt (easy to see at 30mph, try it!), on a mobile phone etc. It's just as simple to see the obvious things, no matter your mode of transport.
  9. Very few car crimes are subjective. DWDCA/CD/DD are the only ones I can think of. All others are objective. i.e. speeding, jumping amber lights, not wearing a seat belt etc.
  10. Rare that, coming from me!
  11. I bet more drivers don't speed daily than do. I don't think cyclists break the law more than drivers, it's just that they're more noticeable when they do because they're a rarer sight on the roads. Same reason people think all sports car drivers drive like hooligans.
  12. I like raspberry flavour windows
  13. I wear headphones in the MR2, but they're noise cancelling ones just so I don't go deaf! On occasion as a cyclist, I've skipped onto a path to 'skip' a red light, but only when there's no pedestrians and it's a single lane crossing due to a narrowing of the road. I'd never do it on a major road, or on a crossing.
  14. I'm still surprised that the new version isn't for sale over here. It makes no financial sense to continue selling two version of the same car. My first thought would be they're trying to shift old stock over here first, and a 16wk wait on a new silver one does go someway to confirming that. That's verging on special order lead times.
  15. *discs Disks are square, discs are round Try the EBC discs, not as bad as they used to be and cheap too.
  16. Don't be an idiot. Get a four seat car and do it properly. :thumbs
  17. It's unlikely the system is empty, probably just the expansion tank is empty though. Ideally fill with Nissan green coolant, if not then deionised water will be fine as long as system isn't empty (i.e. if it takes more than a couple of litres!). 99% it will be the fans, not a huge problem
  18. He's very likeable, and doesn't have a bad bone in his body. I really hope he gets a WDC in his career, he's got exactly the right attitude IMHO.
  19. That's quite reasonable at this rate actually, given the amount of time they've already invested.
  20. Shape and weight of gearknob is very important too. I prefer to cup the knob rather than grasp it, so prefer dumpy round ones to tall shaft ones. The knob is also one of the few places on the car where more weight is preferable, to give a more positive action when shifting. Yeah yeah, I know everyone just picks the pretty ones, but it's worth considering the size and shape too else you could ruin that connectivity between man and car. Also, I must get some kind of award for amount of double entendres in a single post for that first paragraph.
  21. Gigolo or entrepreneur? One or the other or a combination of both. Definitely not the gigolo
  22. F*cking hell. Immense drives from the top three, none of them would've predicted that result. Nico is a whinging little girl.
  23. Correct, it's percentage-based.
  24. And again, ah yes, I think you're right! Okay, sense is made now. As you were, people.
  25. Completely agree with Ricey. Paint correction isn't easy, and it's not cheap. Neither should it be, it's removing some of the actual paint (well, clear coat) from the car so you need some expertise in what you are doing. A good single-day detail is enough for most people. For the rest of us, there's much further down the rabbit hole to go.
