  1. Serious though, the 350 is a much more fun car in every way that counts.
  2. I've driven a 2015 Ferrari California, and I'd rather have a 350Z.
  3. The fuel thing would bother me more than some questionable ownership or a missed service on a car of that age. I'd walk too, I think. Are Zeds cheaper in Germany then? Or is that just the next biggest market? US imports an option?
  4. Apologies if I've missed this bit mate, but what's the weight difference between the V6 and S6 engines? Just wondering as you may have wanted to change front spring rates to suit, although possibly a little late for that now if you've already ordered
  5. It's an 8 year old car, I wouldn't worry about who has driven it. It might have been babied by granny, or thrashed by Chavvy Dave, you'll never know. As long as it's been serviced properly with the right number of stamps, and all else seems fine, go with your gut. Just try and find out if it's been fuelled on 97ron or higher, that's quite critical. They may lie, woo just ask casually if you can use 95 in it: If they say it's fine because they always did, then walk.
  6. She failed Emissions (not remotely surprising, but I can get round that elsewhere) and parking brake failure (can't remember if it was nearside or offside though). Passed on the bloody regular brakes though! They're going to sort the parking brake out in the new year, as I can no longer be arsed to do it myself. She's putting out about 200bhp for insurance purposes, I genuinely don't know the exact bhp as I've never had it on a dyno and I don't really want to be chasing figures anyway. Stock MR2 is 1050kg, I'm running no soft top or interior & one seat, definitely lost weight from the rear end despite the turbo setup, so I reckon she weighs around 850kg minus the hardtop. That's about 235bhp/ton, so for anyone else as a comparison a stock DE 350Z is 185bhp/ton. You'd need around 355bhp in a Zed to equal what the MR2 is running at. I run 888s on the car regardless of winter, summer, sun or snow, road or track.
  7. Yes, that would definitely count as a material change of terms. They probably won't care though.
  8. No news yet... Been over an hour, hopefully they're just trying really hard to get it through! Nothing booked up so far, as I wanted to make sure there were no issues with the MOT and I still want to work some more on the brakes before I book anything up. Means I'll miss my annual trip to Spa in March, which is ironically exactly why I felt I needed a turbo in the first place.
  9. MOT time today, first since the turbo has gone on... And the bugger wouldn't start first thing! I'm so glad I bought that power pack from Halfrauds a few years back, just saved my bacon. Took her for a run around the block, all seemed okay and she started again when I stopped her at the test centre. I very much doubt she'll pass on emissions, and even less so on the brakes (which still aren't 100%), but I await with interest what they say about the rest of the car.
  10. The selling section on Nutz is ruined now, after the rejig. I tried selling my bits on there, but got pretty much zero response because it's too hard to browse.
  11. PS1 came first. They were okay. PS2 came next. Massive upgrade of the PS1, and the definitive tyre for 18"+. PS3 then followed. Aimed at a much smaller car (MX-5 et al), and whilst they were good they weren't a patch on the PS2. Poor naming on Michelin's part. PSS are the newest ones. They are the absolute pinnacle in car tyres right now, excluding semi-slicks. I would happily run either PS2 or PSS on a modern car. No point in running PS2 though, as they're the same price or more expensive than the PSS but not as good in any department.
  12. I think you mean Surrey, as I would imagine that most of Manchester would be quite happy that that
  13. That's what I did, played it for a week before ACU came out It is good though, I'll go back to it at some point. Go buy Stevo's copy, he might sell it cheap!
  14. DA:I is amazing. My heroine is dressed like a slut, which just makes it funny when she goes all "I'll save the world!" on me
  15. I've done pretty much back to back launch controlled launches in a 997.2 C2S and a 458. One is 0-60 in a smidge over 4secs, one in over half a second quicker. The 911 felt much quicker to 60, but was a billionty times slower once you actually started motoring. So no, 0-60 won't give you a good idea of how quick a car feels in real life. 30-100 is a much better scale for proper fast stuff, or even better 50-150. Look at a stock 350: 5.9secs doesn't sound quick, but once you get moving it's quite nippy! FWD is even better, as most of the turbo hatches clock in around 5secs but once you're rolling a remapped one will be epic.
  16. Ahhh bugger. How are you getting on with FC4? Was hoping they would have it on offer in the store over Christmas but it's not dropped. It's alright. There's just a bit too much to do and it's all thrown at you at once, which makes it hard to figure out whether you should do main or side quests. Also the main story is really dull, and no-one has any character. I mean, it's pretty good fun and there is a lot to do, but it feels more like a game from 5 years ago than something new. Starting DA:I now though, should be a life drainer
  17. It was everywhere mate, it was only for a short time though so they may have stopped it now
  18. We don't, we just use RON and they use MON. Their 87 is our 95, and their 91 is our 98. They then go higher than we can easily get hold of, so really they're better off than we are

    wheel nuts

Why do you need different ones?
  20. Personally, unless you're the kind of guy who loves getting his hands dirty and/or has a mountain of cash to burn, I would too.
