  1. That would be incredibly dangerous for me, financially.
  2. Just wait until more vehicles are hybrids and pay no VED at all, they'll soon change the system once the tax revenue dries up.
  3. If Stevo gets to be Hammond, then bagsy I get to be May! And no fear on the wifey front, I'm trading her in for a younger model first
  4. If you like shouty Yanks, then yeah, sure.
  5. It neither pleases nor displeases me. Been more of a shock if he hadn't!
  6. Have you seen his more recent stuff? He was dull as ditchwater at first, but he's far more likeable these days. His P1 video is a classic, but I actually think his F40 vs F50 was better.
  7. People were still being wrong Chris Harris is far more entertaining than Hammond or May when they're doing TG. When they're doing other stuff, that's a bit different.
  8. I think you misunderstand me: I don't want a deadly serious car review programme. I want how TG used to be 10 years ago, when the balance was spot-on. DRIVE manages to get a great balance still, and is arguably the spiritual successor to TG of that era. No doubting the popularity of TG has increased since they ditched the more sensible stuff, I just think that as car people we should consider that a shame rather than a celebration.
  9. I dunno, I get better fuel economy from the BMW than I do from the truck! As for the 370 diesel, just look at how popular the derv TT is.
  10. Some of the most popular shows on TV are I'm A Celebrity, X Factor and Strictly. Doesn't make them good just because people are talking about them, or because they're pulling the viewers in.
  11. I'd rather my truck had a big V8 than the 3.2L I5 diesel lump. I'm sure I'd get better fuel economy out of it, too.
  12. Because no company is perfect, and mistakes happen. I think you'll find that every retailer, including the big boys, have had issues with their fuel at some point: It just doesn't get publicised as much. I know for a fact that a couple of years back my local BP had to sort a few people out due to engine damage caused directly by iffy fuel. Doesn't stop me using them still.
  13. You've already answered your own question: It's almost certainly been run on the cheap stuff. Truth is you'll never know about previous owners, so you just have to ask the right questions and hope you get a good one.
  14. Back to reality though, whilst that chair is excellent (I've tried it out at the Macan launch), it's not worth four grand. I normally buy mine from Staples, as I can try before I buy.
  15. Just the one? I am disappoint.
  16. Nothing so cheap. http://shop1.porsche.com/uk/lifestyle/original/wap0500080e/office-chair.pdds
  17. I'm talking about 10-12 years ago, before it became too scripted. That was the perfect balance between humour (Clarkson in the Atom) and a decent review (the CGT springs to mind).
  18. Oh god, no way it could be that bad!
  19. So you actually agree with me completely then? It used to be like X, but now it's like Y.
  20. That makes no sense! What bit do you not agree with? Broadly speaking, it used to focus on the cars and the driving experience a lot more, but now it focuses on the set pieces and editing in the main.
  21. Then you know exactly what I mean.
  22. F5 had over twice the amount of cars at launch as PCars currently has. Track list is higher in the newcomer, but I still want Suzuka back Why are you not concerned about the physics any more fella?
