  1. Can I recommend you get hold of the WD Red drives for use in that? They're specifically designed for NAS applications, and so far no-one I know has found anything better for the money. I run 4 of those in 3TB flavour, and they really are very good.
  2. I'm still playing DA:I. Now about 240 hours in I couldn't romance Sera in the end as the game had locked me out of that option for some bug-ridden reason, so I banged Josephine instead.
  3. To move an object requires force, the heavier the object the more force required. The engine uses energy to move the flywheel, so the lighter you can make that flywheel the more energy can be transferred to the driven wheels. You don't actually make any extra power, you just let more of it get to the wheels.
  4. Ah, the V8 not the W12. Bit lighter, but if you're going to have a Bentley you really should get the proper one.
  5. M6 is phenomenally quick. 0-60 probably no quicker than a GT-R, but after that there's plenty of video evidence out there of how much pace that car has. What Bentley was it?
  6. There wouldn't be anything like that. Wouldn't be in the interest of the company to do so. They may have internal policies regarding the re-hiring of staff, though.
  7. Exactly what we're saying, it's the cancellation fee & admin fee & whatever else fee they can justify that adds up.
  8. No, they issue you with an invoice that you then need to pay up in full. If you buy a mobile phone contract and get the latest whizzy phone thrown in, if you then cancel after two months you don't get to keep the phone unless you cough up for it. Not a great metaphor, I know, but you'll still have to pay their minimum fee regardless.
  9. Good luck. Most insurers give you a couple of weeks covering both cars while you sell one, but no-one does months. You're going to have to cough up, I think.
  10. I'd pay the extra, I really would. Cheap springs can kill the ride very quickly.
  11. Couldn't disagree more. Aside from a bit of chatter at idle, and needing a fraction more gas when pulling away, there is literally no downside to a LWF on any engine. All it does is allow more power to be transferred to the drivetrain, which can never be a bad thing. On the V6 in the Zed, you can still use the torque as you're getting more of it to the wheels.
  12. That's 99% a clutch issue. Any 6 puck clutch is going to be like an on/off switch, and unless you're running serious power (500bhp) you've no need for something that harsh. Get them to leave the flywheel in if it's not too late!
  13. Me too, this year should be fascinating to watch. Have they announced the drivers yet?
  14. Well, a GT-R LMP1 car anyway. http://www.roadandtr...-gt-r-lm-nismo/ Massive write up there by R&T, but basically they've created a 3L V6 TT FWD prototype with a hybrid flywheel design that sits under the car that may or may not send a bit of power to the rear wheels. Mainly though, this car is FWD. Part of me already hates it because of that, but I'm as intrigued as anyone by this seeing as how it's a Ben Bowlby design (Deltawing) and it could be genuinely quick on track. I also wouldn't want to be the driver behind the wheel, imagine the torque steer!

The USB doesn't charge a phone?!
  16. My house move was flawless, in case anyone is interested. Lorry turned up at half eight, packed by half nine, got the call at eleven to go get the keys. Picked them up from the solicitor, who bizarrely happened to be one of my very first girlfriends at school, and we were in by twelve. I popped out quickly to pick the other cars up, and Jo managed to lock herself out of the new house in the meantime. Thankfully the previous owners left a window open and the neighbours had a ladder! We've now got the basics done (all TVs up, internet everywhere, food in the fridge!) so it's just a case of unpacking a box at a time. Overall it was a very smooth sale and purchase, so I feel incredibly lucky it all went so well. My cats are not so impressed, they're pretty much terrified right now, but I'm hoping they'll get better as they get used to the place
  17. No Mariska, no interest Why have they got a 6 year-old car on there, as well as a 3 year-old BMW?
  18. It really won't. I'm watching the first season of L&O:SVU, Benson is lovely
  19. It's next to a clumsy toddler playing with matches whilst balancing a bucket of water on its head. That's okay, right?
  20. Lucky man Where did you find that data, btw? I couldn't see it on their website anywhere.
  21. I know exactly what you mean Will, after having sold the 911 and having had the MR2 laid up for 4 months. Getting that back on the road as well as the 645 and suddenly it's like WARP SPEED NOW MR SULU :D
  22. You can never have too many backups. I have a backup of a backup for my main storage drive!
  23. The Vossen ones are, are you sure the Bola ones are too?
