  1. I tuned the kill cams off in the end, and the delay in getting back to the action meant that it was very difficult to line up two quick shots. But yeah, great game, I really enjoyed it
  2. DVLA won't care. I would sign it in the maiden name, just to stop any awkward questions. However, if I was a buyer and came across that situation, I simply wouldn't buy the car. If someone can't be bothered to change the V5 to the right name, what else is iffy? Not saying anything is wrong in your case, it's just what I would think as a buyer. Hopefully your buyer won't ask!
  3. See, for me that just takes way the point of hardwiring in the first place as its just as easy to run four cables as it is to run two. Or six cables, even. I can see why you did it, but then you need another power socket just to power the switch which can have it's own problems. It also hinders your ability to use Ethernet for other purposes, or more importantly what happens when you want to rearrange the room and you don't have a socket on that side of the room... Not digging at you sir, I used to run a very similar solution downstairs and it worked for me too
  4. That was about the 4th version of that I wrote, you didn't want to read the others, trust me!
  5. 5 mins is about 4m 57s too much, I think. I mean, each to their own, but I can't see these as anything other than something for the rest of society to mock.
  6. One double port will definitely not be enough! TV, Sky box, PS4 and you're already out of space.
  7. Can't wait!
  8. Dicky, the sun is blazing hot outside, it's a Sunday, go and find something else to do instead of worrying about the odd mm on tyres
  9. Just tell him to do what he's being paid for, and stop being so nosey!
  10. If only there was a Mod around to edit that post for the correct spelling...
  11. In that case IIRC that radial groove does not have any wear markers, so does not need to be counted and I would expect it to be less as part of the design of the tyre. Tell you what though, this thread has taught me that there are people more anal about tyres than me out there!
  12. Doesn't tell you if that was an average, identical across the entire tyre and all four, or even if that's OEM spec though. I'd still go direct to manufacturer to confirm, makes your case even stronger then
  13. I believe so, yes.

Sorry, look. A subtle drop on springs is always allowed!
  15. None of the lateral grooves count at all, only the radial ones. Some MPSS users have said that grip drops off massively once those lateral grooves are gone, but I've yet to notice that myself nor see more than a handful of people complain, so I'm not convinced it's a huge issue. Certainly I had no issues with the 050A I ran on the 911, front or back. It's very easy to work out the legal section on a given tyre, but there's no real need to as the wear indicators are there to stop any querying over the exact measurement of the 3/4. As long as you're not below them, you're fine. I always change my tyres on 3mm, incidentally. Well, excluding 888s as they only come with that in the first place!

    Stock is best
  17. So the lock is stuck? Try some WD40 or PlusGas or whatever you have handy, it's just a little stuck. A stark reminder to us all to operate that lock every now and then!
  18. Reasonable force, but ultimately I wouldn't risk the threat of a caution/charge for a bit of damage to my car.
  19. Which grooves do you mean? Do you mean the 4th 'main' groove from the left?
  20. Of course not, I'm not that daft! I changed my mind at one point and decided to move the socket point after we'd run them, and the cables were a fraction short so I had to join them under the floor. Not a huge issue, but every join brings a new possibility of failure.
  21. You can hear the NAS, but that's because I have a noisy fan at the front that needs fixing When the TV is on, you can't hear anything and I'm sat approx 2.5m from it as we speak. If you run a server with silent fans, you won't hear it at all if in a cupboard.
  22. I'm not convinced NT would know what depth 050As should be from new. Only Bridgestone themselves would know, get the info from them as well
