I would advise against speaking to your insurers, but then I would also make sure 100% that I'd got the all clear from the docs before driving again. Not that you wouldn't, I just mean get it in writing. Hope you're on the mend now, sounds like it must've been a horrendous accident!
-
You would hope so, if you're spending that much.

It's a status thing, isn't it? Oh look at me, I'm a jetsetter but I'm saving the planet, yada yada. Not Gangzoom, the stars in Priuseseseses!

They may adjust your premium, but don't expect it to be by much I wouldn't have thought.

Interesting article on the BBC about Corbyn. Some I can see his logic, some are utterly baffling.
-
No point driving the Fiat, all that does is mean that you'll reduce the premium a fraction on the Zed as you won't need much mileage on it. It really won't make much of a difference though. The first option won't be any cheaper either, as then you're insuring two vehicles with 0 NCB. I've done that with my MR2 as a second car, made sod-all difference. Getting a job will DEFINITELY bring your premium down. Garage is usually a bit pricier but we're talking a few quid, for me it's more important to keep the car safe than worry about £10. Just ring up some companies and get some quotes, at least you know where you're at then.

Honestly, it's absolutely fine! I ran non-OEM size tyres on my 350, I run them on the MR2, as long as the tyre fits the wheel and the TCS doesn't mind then there is zero issue.

No, I'd be p*ssed at her, but then I'd be p*ssed at anyone who ran into the back of me whilst crawling along in traffic. It takes literally no effort at all to crawl along and use your knees to steer a fraction to stay in a lane. You really don't need to use your hands at all, AT LOW SPEED AND IN A RELATIVELY STRAIGHT LINE. Give it a try, you'll see how simple it is and how little control it takes away from the driver. As long as you're concentrating on what the car in front is doing, it's really not difficult to do. Again, it's not right and she shouldn't be doing it, and maybe if the cyclist hadn't been so militant I wouldn't be sticking up for her so much. But he did, and it annoyed me, so now I'm digging myself in.
-
Did she crash and die? No. Could she have stopped if she'd needed to? Yes. Could she steer the vehicle enough to stay in position at those speeds? Yes. Sounds like full control to me, at least in that situation. Yes, it was stupid, and no I don't think she was right to do so, but it was no more dangerous to others than 80mph on a motorway with a single hand on the steering wheel whilst fiddling with the stereo. We need to maintain perspective here.

What a load of crap. An item costs what it costs, you can't go around adding income tax and NI to everything! In that case, I have a half a million pound house! My TV cost me £5K! My penis extension cost me £50K! etc.
-
Really? As long as you do it properly, there's no harm in changing tyre size. What are stock 370Z tyre sizes?
-
How on earth do you figure the £270K cost of a £120K car out?!

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. I disagree with pretty much everything he's ever said so he won't make me switch political viewpoints, however the real trouble is that I can't see him making much of a difference to swing voters either. He's seriously far to the Left, so incredibly unlikely to pick up anyone hovering around the Centre, and they're the people that win you elections. If Labour couldn't win an election after 5 years of austerity and the most unpopular government that I can remember, what chance of doing it next time round? I can't see it happening, which ultimately weakens British politics as without a strong opposition, the Government go unchallenged. The LibDems did a very good job in coalition under difficult circumstances, and I think people with short memories forgot that. There's a lot of youngsters on social media proclaiming Corbyn to be a great leader for Labour, and that his policies are just what Britain needs after the evil Tories. Well, they're the same people that said the same about Miliband and his effort, and whilst they're incredibly vocal they're also clearly not the voting majority. FWIW, I hope he turns out to be an excellent foil for Labour and can push the PM a bit, but I don't see him making Labour a force again. Blame the Sturgeon and her brand of nationalistic jingoism for that.

Agreed. As a waftmobile for the commute then yes, I'd happily go electric.
-
Bugger How close can you get? Can you change rear sizes to ensure no TCS issues too?
-
Tyres and brakes for the Ring. MPSS obviously for the tyres, then just something sensible for the brakes like DS2500 pads, stainless brake lines and RBF600 fluid. CG Lock would also be of massive benefit. And a knowledge that you're not insured, too!
-
Ouch. At least it died as glorious a death as possible, racing. No comfort, I know, and just thankfully you're okay.
-
Cup2s are significantly better than Cup1s in the wet. Better wearing too! If you can afford the price and are happy with the relative limitations, then I'd go for it. Amazing tyres, by all accounts. Supply is my only concern, not so much replacing when worn but getting hold of a pair or a single in an emergency (like a puncture). They'll never be as common as the MPSS, but otherwise DO IT.

I don't think the Tesla is ugly, I think it's worse than that: I think it's bland. I have no particular feelings over the looks one way or another, it just blends it with everything else on the roads. See, that to me would write it off straight away, as I like a little drama in my cars. However, nice write up, glad you enjoyed it (but then I think we all knew you would!).

Have to say, both cars look really good in the flesh. Grundy's exhaust is just utterly mental, it made my entire car shake when he started it up and I was parked behind him Sounds just as good in the cabin when on the move too

355 was awful inside, Ferraris didn't get decent until the 430 really.
-
That's the spirit! Just say it was in a sale or summat. Wimmin do that with shoes and handbags all the time.
-
I wouldn't look any further than the Thrustmaster TX. With the optional 3 pedal set and the manual shifter, it's awesome.
-
Easy done fella, I'm on my second one now as they're so good!

Wheel & wheelstand pro = fold up and put out of the way when you're done. I use Jo's office chair which I pinch from her study to sit on, then it goes back when I'm done.
